So Sony are doing something similar to Microsoft's Summer of Arcade

Which starts this week with Helldivers

Then each week
Hotline Miami 2
Jamestown+
Metal Slug 3
Axiom Verge
Bastion
Titan Souls
Shovel Knight

I'm looking forward to a few of them, MS3 seems a weird one as it's more of retro title that quite doesn't fit the rest which are all indies.

What about you guys a few are on PS3 & VITA as well

Titan Souls is the only one that really interests me there. Might pick up Hotline Miami 2 on sale some time, though I still haven't finished the first.
Bastion and Shovel Knight are games I'd probably pick up on the cheap if they have platinums

I don't know about the platinums as trophies can be weird can't they, Indie game Resogun has one but Child of Light doesn't which makes no sene to me.

Yeah, they're super inconsistent. There are games that definitely deserve them (Steamworld Dig) that just don't. Seems an odd exclusion, would only help sales.

After looking up the ones I didn't know much about there's a few there I will be looking to get, those being: Jamestown+ as I love me a bullet hell shooter, Axiom Verge which looks very Metroid & I've been looking forward to Titan Souls/Hotline Miami 2 for a while.

Though it might be tough to get all those on their launch day.

Oh also about the plat trophies in indie games, I'd imagine some of the developers wouldn't want them pulling focus away from the core design of their game.

I dunno, having the actual plat doesn't change the fact that the rest of the trophies are there. Plus with games like Steamworld Dig (really stuck on that one XD) the trophies are more than worthy of it.

I'm not to bothered myself about having just inconsistent that bothers me.

I don't play the games for a trophy to pop up, I play them for fun / story depending on the game.

I've already prepurchased Hotline Miami 2 on Steam, ridiculously excited for that game. I'm very tempted to buy its soundtrack too, as I reckon it'll be another cracker.

True, maybe they just don't want trophy whores like yourself buying their game for the wrong reason.

Ha, it's just an odd market to miss out and really does make the difference for if I'll rebuy something. No point if I'm not even getting that out of it

Has anyone bought many of these, the only one I've bought so far is helldivers. I am very tempted to download Bastion as not played it a for a while, the others I've just not had the urge to download as want to finish the 1st the Hotline before buying the second.

Still nothing here, maybe Titan Souls soonish, haven't got the cash to splash right now on indies.

Stories & Salt look interesting
Alienation I'll grab if I get a team, otherwise it'll end up with as much play time as the 3 platforms I can play Dead Nation on combined.
