Let's All Play, Round 1 Poll: Let's get this show on the road!

Right, I think I've got a good few suggestions for the first week's games. I'll be including whatever the cheap Virtual Console game for the month is in that month's polls until it's picked or goes off sale.

We can discuss how long we should play each game for here as well. I personally think a week to two weeks on each game would be perfect, depending on the type of game it is eg. a week on things like Sonic, Mario, two weeks on Zelda, Final Fantasy.

Am I doing it wrong if I vote for Mega Man 2? It's the only one of those I've never played...

Not at all; choose what you want! One of the goals of this is to introduce people to so-called "retro classics" that they've never played before. I'm lucky enough that I've played all of the games suggested for this week.

My vote went to Sonic The Hedgehog - he ran a clean campaign, although I did look wistfully over at Super Mario World. You will never catch me voting for Mega Man, as I can't stand the beehotch.

I'll vote for Sonic, as I've never actually finished any of the MD ones. It's also the only game in that list I don't have


I would pick Mario World, but it'd be over in 15 minutes

It took me twleve years to legitimately beat Sonic the Hedgehog.

I've never finished it either! I'm just terrible at games that require speed and precision at the same time - I was ruddy awful at Mirror's Edge.

ive gone for sonic, i will be playing on the mega drive not VC or PSN

More people have voted in this thread than did in the NGamer Forum Awards last year.

It's a good sign though for the year to come, right? If we're at 54 members within the first few weeks of this forum opening up with many of them posting regularly, then it should be a busy place come year's end.

As for this poll, it's looking like Sonic's going to take it, unless there's a flood of new voters tomorrow. I'll put the thread up late Sunday night/early Monday morning for the winning game.

I went to threads I posted in, I will be setting the mega drive up then
