Some pokemon seem to have just got leaked.

If you don't think salamanders are lizards you might need to brush up on your fantasy Balla.     Being serious though I wager highly that they're basing it on the fantasy creature first and foremost rather than the real-world one.  

If I were to attack it I'd say that ground weakness is absolutely horrible, and its typing in general has poor synergy.  Aside from that I like the guy though, nice sneaky troll face eyes fitting with the Poison type moniker of being sleazy Pokemon.  The design is a heck of a lot tighter than anything from the last batch honestly.  The ability is fine in my opinion.  Better in fact, steel types are frequently tanks or walls and being able to status them with the most common and best hp reduction afflictions in the game is honestly a far bigger boon even in in-game, and in pvp being able to toxic Heatrans is going to be amazing.

Saw the new beastie yesterday - liked the look of it, to be honest - all dark and mysterious. The designs have been pretty good so far, I'd say.

I like the "fakeachu" I think it's brilliant

The fakeachu is very bold design, in my opinion. The bear... looks a bit ordinary to me.

Evilchu looks amazing! The bear not so much, I'll be sticking to Teddiursa when I want an adorable bear and Ursaring when I want a grizzly monster.

Thoughts:

I think I'm going to have to call it as close to quits as possible till the games come out at this point, we're reaching that part of the cycle where too much is being spoiled (I blame square enix for creating this hype method). Can't do anything about the youtube videos in the sub feed, but I can avoid everything!

What can I say, I like going to routes and finding Pokemon I've never seen before. I've had my tasters, I'm out.

Yeah that is a fair point, and I tried that for X&Y (with, it must be said, limited success). I might try that again from now.
