That one::
I've seen a butt-ton of Exeggutor memes already... you know the original was also dumb, right? Its pre-evolution was "er... 6 eggs, I guess"

I've already seen that thing you're talking about:
And I think it's pretty well designed. Very appropriate for Alola too. Grass/dragon is stretching it though.
I'd love Megas to be scrapped. I very much doubt it will happen, but I'd love it. The Megas seemed like clunky replacements for new evolutions, denying the possibility of (say) Sableye ever getting a proper evo. They were generally pretty atrociously designed. And from a competitive point of view, they centralised teams something appalling. Plus, what's the point of giving Gengar a Mega-evo? Come on now.
But with such a big emphasis being placed on Megas throughout Gen. 6, including in the movies, I really can't see them scrapping it. Sadly.
Subject: Re: Pokémon Sun and Moon: Now in Ultra Flavour! Mon 1 Aug 2016 - 20:20
I kinda want them to be scrapped because Megazard Y is such a pain to deal with for what are normally well balanced teams, but then Swampert loses the ability to sweep OU teams.

Hmm, maybe they are dropping Mega's. Just went to the site and the potential replacement is apparently triggered with a wrist bracelet just like Mega's. Hmmm. Maybe they'll keep current Mega's but not add any more.

Oh gosh. I've just realised what I've done there.

See that there are rumoured "leaked" final evolutions of the starters floating about. Which two of the three aren't bad but the last one is kinda meh

Concerning 'that one':
While I'm trying not to spoil stuff for myself, I'm glad I found out about this one. So many hilarious pictures.

I like it! The name doesn't pull any punches, that's for sure. Maybe Gen 8 can have the nefarious Team Cuteness, or something.

Tripped over some spoilers yesterday on Twitter.
Spoiler:
Alolan forms, including Meowthola?
DIGRESSION ALERT: If there's an official or fandom name for them, I don't know it!
Not sure I like that. What I am sure I don't like is the sandcastle Pokémon. The freakin' sandcastle Pokémon. I suppose, at a stretch, beachy region justifies, but... bleh. It's Vanillish and its kin all over again. And the designs were going so well (for me, natch)!

I've seen... bits of spoilers only.
Concerning new forms:
I've seen a blue Meowth. I would presume that given Meowth is a thieving cat it's dark-type? But not sure. I've also seen that Marowak gets a new form, and if that's not ground-ghost I'll be sorely disappointed.

Uuuuugh, got spoiled on some of the leaks and I'm so not happy. I'm beginning to think I'm going to have to unsub to every single youtuber who covers Pokemon, because I'm getting sick of them spoiling every little thing in their thumbnails.

While not particularly pleased to see it, I am pleased to announce that, in addition to sounding completely ridiculous, the evil team also look completely ridiculous as well. (Caution, Nintendo Life has big ol' thumbnails of 'em in prime position.)

For the love of god spoiler regarding new form :
That new form of Raichu looks like it should be a fairy type
What? Nothing wrong with a bit of Emo floating about the isles

Well Ninty Life did another bit of spoiling the team head , but damn do they look brilliant!

DoPo, I've been spoiled again! Gosh darn you Escapist thumbnails!
The design I've seen was...:
...a sandcastle Pokémon. Literally a sandcastle with googly eyes. That's some Rare/Playtonic work that is. Also: crap.

I've said it before and I'll say it again (and again and again, and again and again and again): news sites should be far more conservative with their spoilers. A thumbnail of Pikachu with the headline 'New Pokémon Designs Revealed!' would do most fans fine, I'm sure; click to be spoiled, leave to be unsullied by such things. See also: NX rumours.

To be fair NL is doing that now, and good on 'em. I may have to be more careful with my Escapist browsing now (I only go for the comics and Yahtzee anyway).
