The Great GNamer Forum Euro 2016 Sweepstake

On June 10th the 2016 UEFA European Championship begins, or Euro 2016 to you and me. Twenty-four teams, their 23-man squads now finalised, are to take part in this festival of football, which culminates in the grand final on July 10th. Many teams are fancied; others, less so. Some good players will play well and others have a chance of coming in to form... and now we're veering dangerously close to the territory occupied by this article from 2001 (!).

Short story short, I ask you, fellow GNamer Forumite of some repute, to partake in a sweepstake. To the winners, glory - to the wooden spoon holder, a possible actual wooden spoon (but not the one I use to stir paint, cos that would ming). Sign up, and soon!

Any sort of system as 24 teams are a lot, I know when I did the rugby sweepstakes you got a top team and not so good team. Be great if we could get 12 people and we have a top 12 team and a bottom 12 team.

Ideally we'd have eight or twelve people, because both those numbers go into twenty-four. Any other numbers of players will be tricky to deal with!

No, it really isn't as I'd feel the same if I happened to be Spanish.

Si, El_Jaster. I know a few people who are heavily into club football but don't give a monkey's about international: whatever floats your boat. It's just going to be a bit of fun, that's all.
