Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (Boo(Ster Course Pass) This Man)

I can live with other pads but the Gamecube was the best controller ever made.

I did enjoy playing Smash with Cube pad, but, they probably shouldn't have spoiled us man-babies by doing that. I think I'm with Shanks in that they should stop building ports for it now! Or design a pro-controller that's exactly the same shape, natch.

Surely that's the answer? Just build a new controller that's nice to hold. I'm ready to cut the GC umbilical/controller cord now.

In line with my "GameCube VC or bust" comment from elsethread, I agree: let this be the last gen that's GC pad compatible.

That's what I'd hoped for, really. I think it's fine to talk about wanted new racers, we saw one in the trailer and he's in the title of this thread!

I know my mum will want Petey Piranha, she loves him. Me, I'd be happy with King Boo and Bowser Jr. Since we've got Link (BotW-based track PLEASE), I wouldn't mind seeing the odd non-Mario character in there either. Pikachu to capitalise on recent Poképopularity?

Well if Rayman can be a trophy for no reason then Jade being a playable racer seems much more reasonable.

Inklings also to tie in with Splatoon+ and knowing Nintendo the new character from New 3D Mario which know one has seen before like they did with spoiling Rosalina as secret unlock in SM3DW.

Faked, apparently - and sadly. Suppose it's a bit much to hope that Ninty would give us/me exactly what we/I wanted.

Yeah seems it is but then I've seen others say it's a misunderstanding and that the 24 new tracks includes the DLC tracks meaning thier is only actually like 8 new tracks and same with racers.

We will find out hopefully in a weeks time what all these remasters have etc.

I hope it's time to expand on the DLC for MK8 and just make it Nintendo Kart. Therefore, we can race tracks around Pikmin's PNF-404, and a proper Hyrule that's not tied into Hyrule Warriors... but ultimately I think it's time to wait and see what Ninty say in a couple of weeks' time.

And then get really angry.

It can literally just be the Wii U game on Switch and I'm already dead excited. Can't wait to play that smooth as caramel, sexy racing on a handheld.

A port from the Wii U would still be well good, I've got faith those Ninty folk will add in some great tweaks for the Switcheroo, but if they don't add these...

I get the feeling it'll be more of the same with extra tracks and karters, can't imagine we'll get any new modes sadly, hopefully I'm just being pessimistic but they know they're on to a winner so can't imagine they'll switch it up too much. There isn't really many Mario characters I could ask for so I'm all for characters from other Nintendo games, makes for much more interesting track design I reckon.

The battle mode and inklings is enough for me to rebuy MK8.

Considering I've never owned Mario Kart 8 before, this is a no-brainer for me really. And so close to launch too!

On a side note, Mario Kart really is getting closer to just being "Nintendo Kart", isn't it?
