Here we go again, boys and girls!
Last year was our best turnout ever for Secret Santa, with 12 forumites taking part!
Even though the Nintendo releases have been slow this year, and at times conversation has dropped off, we've stayed close thanks to our bonds of friendship. Some of us have met in person now, some of us are recording podcasts together and we've never seen more longform writing from GNamerans thanks to gintendo.

I think, even though this year hasn't had the highest post count ever, we're closer than ever! Here's to another smashing round of Secret Santa.
I was looking at using an online Secret Santa generator, after Andy recommended it, but it seems they only take care of the random names bit- I'd still have to organise it and, as the organiser, I'd know everyone. I think the old rules have always worked out okay, and I like being able to keep an eye on things and make sure everyone's Secret Santa experience is as smooth as possible.

The Rules

• Everyone who wants to take part, PM me your request along with your address.
  
• I'll pick names from a hat and PM people to let them know who they've got and where they live. This means the only people who'll see your address are me and whoever's sending you a present.
  
• I'll draw names at 10pm UK time, the evening of Monday, 21st of November, so there will be plenty of time to buy, wrap and post presents. It would suck if someone missed out and their present arrived in January.
  
• No matter how early your present arrives, we all open them on December 25th and post our thanks/ pics/ disgust.
  
• Limit of £15, not including postage.
  
• I'm taking part! I'm not sitting out just because I'm organising, this is really fun.
  
• NO DROPPING HINTS. We all know eachother well enough to pick presents. And if not- Poundland willy warmer!
  
• Gifts must be physical, tangible things; no emailing download codes or adopting felines.
  
• Once names are dished out, no posting about the buying/ sending of presents in the thread. Gives the game away, see!
  
• You can post if you receive your package, and it's nice if you can message me when you post.
  
• If you say you're taking part then don't post out your present you'll be totally ostracised from the gang.

I'm in, but I'm going to say before Jay does that 28th sounds a little late, I'd like earlier.

I wonder though - the 28th seems a bit late to buy a gift and send it off and make sure it gets to the recipient. I defer to you though, Santalilly.

Actually that's a point, I have no idea where I want to have this sent... I'll have to see how the next couple of weeks of new place hunting go.

Don't worry, for the first three Secret Santas, none of us had met one another at all.

PM sent with my address squire - it hadn't changed from last year to be fair, but no point in digging through your PMs for that.

The forum only keeps one page of PMs, as I discovered during a previous secret santa. Also, I like the extra layer of making sure people are confirmed that it adds, so no-one can post a hasty reply in the thread then not take part.

Our best was last year, when we had 12. In 2014 we had 11.

I see we lost Fastpie and Lemon from last year.
