(Balladeer gazes longingly at Cappa's post, heaves a sigh, and directs people to his previous comments on the topic.)

Same as above.
I'm guessing Balla was referring to this?
Tried it, really enjoyed the first two levels, gave me Big Bang Mini vibes which is one of my top DS favourites, and then the third level got me to "what the actual fuck am I supposed to do here?" territory pretty quick. Might give it another bash in the next couple of days.

It's been ages since I've played a shmup as well - I'm not counting Gradius on the Switch NES collection - so I might give the demo a bash too. Although with RDR2 coming out tomorrow, TWEWY still lurking in the background and the looming behemoth that is SSBU, I might be a bit busy over the next wee while for other games!

Ah no, just didn't want to say again how I'm missing out on games because I'm busy playing other games (see also: TGB) and how I've got an inflating backlog, because I've said it a lot and at least one person's getting bored with it. Sorry gents!

I still haven't gotten around to playing Just Beats and Shapes, maybe next year.

Capcom is bringing Res Evil 0 HD, ReMake HD and one game we seemingly wanted based on the port or bort thread Res Evil 4. I really hope it's not just the PS4/ONE version ported over as they could make the Switch version the best version out of 11* that are currently available.
*it has more then this if you count all the mobile versions, which I do find funny some are touting this as the first portable version.

Danmaku Unlimited 3 is down to under a fiver in the eShop Halloween sale, and it's an easy recommendation from me. It looks mental and tough as buggery, but it truly is "built for newcomers (and veterans)". I'm enjoying this a lot, I think it's great. The reviews seem like they back that up - it's got 83 on Metacritic.

Mas: I've never played a Resident Evil game. Might be time, soon enough... Also, folks rib on Skyrim for its many ports - that is a staggering number for RE4!
Cappa: Ooft, that is a busy looking game. I'm usually utterly shite at bullet hell shooters - my brain can't process what's going on quickly enough. Might not be for me, but looks like a blast if you're into that style of shmup.

Yeah far as I'm aware Skyrim only has like 8 verisons which is really only last gen to this gen, where Res Evil 4 goes from PS2 to PS3 to PS4 for instance.
Can't believe that like Drunka you've not played a Resident Evil though

Really excited at having RE4 on Switch since it's an absolute peach of a game.

Res Evil 4 isn't scary at all.
Glad you're excited Jas but I can see it being a lazy port when they could spend time and give us Wii controls along with the HD remaster of the PS4/ONE versions.

Capcom aren't known for good ports but for me it doesn't need to have all the bells and whistles (of course it'd be nice) just a version that runs well on Switch.

I guess as the Switch is my least played system out of the three current ones, and not using it on the go a simple port isn't going to do it for me but I would have been tempted to have a version with all bells and whistles, I would have been very tempted.

I own it on Xbox One but haven't played it
I bought because it looked quality but I think I got it the day before I started Game Share and then I had a ton of new games, why you've seen me post about a lot of Xbox One exclusives this year in the last game I've finished the thread.

Not sure what to make of that, it looks like it could be a bit 'arty for the sake of arty'.

Not to detract from masofdas' posts, but Road Redemption got a stealth release on Switch, XBox One, Steam and PS4 earlier today:
I really hope that this does the business. I'll wait for reviews seeing as stealth releases are usually a bad omen as regards the (low) quality of a game, but it looks like the Road Rash update that I've been after for about twenty years. Let it be known that Road Rash 64 is one of the most underrated games ever.

I played this at a mate's house when it was on early access a couple of years ago! At the time, it was visually unimpressive and a little bit buggy, which could be excused considering it was in development. The actual gameplay was pretty fun, though! Looking at the trailer, it seems as though they've given it a real kick up the arse in terms of the visuals and added a few more weapons and tracks into play. I reckon it'll be worth a punt now.
