| I'm still too burnt by X to be excited. I'll almost definitely get it, but I think I might wait for reviews. |

| I am excited. It looks much more Xenoblade than Xenoblade X. Very into the big talking dog. - Balladeer wrote:

I actually really enjoyed the British voice acting in the original, but I'm making a deliberate effort to surround myself with spoken Japanese as much as possible so might go with that. |

| I played XC in Japanese and XCX in English (because I had to), and didn't really have a problem with either. We shall see. |

I am excited for the people who are excited about the game, is how I would phrase it. I'm not excited for myself. |

| It's never really going to have the same broad appeal of a Mario or Zelda game, is it? Saying that though I did expect more than two folk on here to be excited for it. |

| Same. I can understand why people thought XCX wasn't as good as the original, but I don't get why it's put people off quite so dramatically. I mean, I understand the reasons they didn't like it, but given that this looks much more like the linear storytelling of XC1... I just don't understand. |

| I'm tempted, but it's one that would have to wait until the New Year has been and gone - there's too many other games to play! I'm more likely to play this first than boot up the 3DS for a big massive playthrough of XC1, mind. |

| I chose it as fifth in my Wii U votes. No joke. It'll never chart, so I'll put what I posted here: - In a spoiler because most of y'all don't care and I halfway respect that:
Don't give me that look Andy. Or Drunka. Or Athrun. Look, I still loved this. Not the main story, that was bobbins. But the soundtrack, the fighting, the flying, the robots, the flying robots, the world, the insults ('asscaves'), and the side-story where you have to save someone from turning into a Cantor. The Cantors look terrifying. I was seriously unnerved. Very imperfect, this was still a great game.
But in any case, this one looks so much more like XC1 in every area that's important. Main character has character. Story-based, not a silly attempt at an MMO. And... that's basically all of them (bar the ending, which funnily enough I don't know about yet). (I'm not really posting this at you, choir/preaching and that.) |

| Nah, I'm really glad you got into it. I definitely understand appreciating the weirdness of something, or the good parts of something otherwise bad. I loved the look of the game and the exploration of the world, I was just really disappointed because I wanted it to recapture what I loved about the original and it didn't |

I think that's a bit of an overstatment, it had interface issues and the story ending was a bit eh and the faction system could easily be ignored, but it wasn't a bad game. I had a lot of fun with it, flying around Mira in my Skell and taking out the biggest, baddest monsters around was very satisfying. I know having such an open game that isn't very reliant on its story isn't everyone's cup of tea. But it should at least be clear that a lot of craftsmanship went into making it and it's definitely one of my favourite games on the U. In other news, I'M EXCITED I'M IN THE EXCITED GROUP. Tomorrow really can't come soon enough. I'm not sure what language I'll play in but having distinct accents for each titan civilisation is something I'd appreciate more in english but we'll see. Regardless, I'M EXCITED |

| Yass Nintenduck! This is why we needed you in the Wii U votes... Anyway I look forward to discussing this with you and Drunka, at least, on the far side of Christmas. I think I'll start off in Britspeak and see how I cope. |

| I'm going to chuck that in a spoiler box Mas. The game isn't even out yet, and I've no idea if it's even a major spoiler for folks, but best err on the side of caution. |

| They better avoid likes of Nintendo Life as well as it's a news article which can't be avoided. |

Yes! And seconding that word soup at the end of your post now you've bought it. I'll look a right ninny if the three of you hate it now. |

It can be avoided, by not going on Nintendo sites when you're avoiding spoilers on a big Nintendo game. Which you know some of us are wont to do. I mean, in this case, it wasn't a spoiler as I don't know what any of it meant |

I mean, in this case, it wasn't a spoiler as I don't know what any of it meant Sure you could do that but what is and isn't a spoiler as that was posted as news but the likes of Nintendo Life wouldn't put something like what Midna looks like at the end of Twilight. Is plot devices and maybe things like last areas, boss fights spoilers or is everything a spoiler nowadays. |

| Sure Balla, it just seems odd how one thing can be considered news but another a spoiler. |

| I'll be honest: at this point, I don't think we need news. The odd spoiler-free review aside. We know as much as we need to know.
What we do need is people giving their thoughts when the game comes out. Incidentally I'll probably avoid the topic from tomorrow onwards. |
