Three hundred million dollars from Fire Emblem Heroes alone?! That’s extraordinary. I think they should forget this ‘Switch’ thing and just go for the mobile market.

I'm not surprised by Go, but FEH - wow. How much of that came from three people who bought every single hero?

Would Nintendo even see anything from Pokemon Go considering it's a Niantic thing? That is great going for FEH and a quick google let's me know me they are more involved in that one.

I think they'd get something as a shareholder in Pokemon but not quite as much Fire Emblem. I can understand people spending money on it though, there's a fair bit more to it than on the surface, will be interesting to see if they can recapture that with any other mobile games as Animal Crossing just seems like one of them time management sims.

Just the $17m from Pocket Camp which isn't a lot in the grand schemes of things but you'd think costs for the game would have been low.

Oh, it's absolutely because the game is a gacha wasteland that's catering to a veeeery specific audience who'll throw piles of money for each new character. Here's a delight from over Christmas... I'd wager to slap a NSFW tag on that. You'll get looks, for sure. It is filth. That's not even her... *sigh*... battle damaged art either.
I've browsed the FEH subreddit for some tips on what skills work best on my chosen heroes and I've seen posts for people casually chucking literally thousands of dollars at the game. I don't think they're joking either.

Of course it's Tharja. Another reason for me not to want mobile as a second pillar, methinks.

Like I said I don't think we need a second pillar any more in terms of home console and handheld, you yourself have said the Switch is mainly a handheld and a replacement for 3DS pretty much, would you want a replacement to the 3DS on top of that and Nintendo's resource split again?
The only need for a second now I see, is financial one which mobile and licencing stuff out now does..

It's an odd position, and I suppose mobile's the best option given that (as you said) I'd rather they push all their 'serious' efforts into the Switch. It's just that some of the practices involved sicken me.

Looks like the 3DS isn't gone just yet, doing a few remakes here and there could be a good way to keep it as a second pillar with minimal effort.

I was shocked to see BIS isn't getting a release until then but I'm sure they could a chuck a load of other re-releases on it.

The 3DS wasn't going anywhere this year and how Nintendo has talked about it, it's meant to be this cheap entry point into gaming now which it is and remakes and smaller games along with adding to selects will keep it going.

This video of WWE wrestlers flipping out over getting custom Switch projector docks is the best thing ever! (The little skit at the start is great too)

Aye a custom one would be the way to go, I think I'd have Moo Moo Meadows on mine.

I think the custom projectors were just for the wrestlers as there is nothing on their site that mentions it, the projector itself is £299 on amazon but considering it can be used with other consoles, phones & laptops that's not too bad.

I was desperate for Pokemon content recently (don't know what it was, maybe the fact that I'm in Japan and there are PIKACHUS EVERYWHERE) and started catching up on a Pokemon podcast by our enemies, the guys who do The Carve. I've just seen that I've got an episode with guest star Xavier Woods coming up!
...kind of blows our Joe Skrebels episode out of the water though

Ha, Tozawa's reaction was brilliant! That's a really neat idea - not something I'd get any use out of, but seeing it in action on the plane seems like it'd be perfect for folks that travel often.
