| It's too late now, I subjected myself to ten minutes of grappling with Shop.To and I've ordered it from there. |

| For a week starting Wednesday 10th, you could play the entirety of Overcooked 2 for free. It's one of my top Switch games... but only really if you've got someone to play in local co-op with. Someone patient. |

| Hmm that's playing with my lady partner out of the window then. I might try anyway, I've actually had it on my console for a while but playing on our own seperate Switch consoles might help. |

| It's definitely worth a go although I think I found the first one more enjoyable. I could be misremembering things, but I felt like the first game was simpler and had a better difficulty curve.
As you get stuck into 2, there are more and more moving platforms and bottomless pits or teleporters and it just got a bit much. |

| The first game was simpler, and if it's an option I'd probably recommend starting with it - although that's mostly because I'd find it hard to go back now. 2's noticeably more polished. That said, the levels where it's the bunch of you on one tiny platform that you have to negotiate over the abyss can push off. |

| Copies of Disgaea 4 Complete for £15, physical. Absolute bargain for a Switch game, and one of the better entries in the Disagea series - one which I recently got into and have been really enjoying. They've also got Labyrinth of Refrain for a little under a tenner - not as well received, but I've been enjoying it so far.
Probably the best way to experience this game, as on the handheld screen the sprites are really sharp when on PC the sprites are jaggy. Also it being portable is great.

Also Crash Bandicoot 4 Switch for £25 on the Russian eshop, which you can apparently get via paypal. Heard and seen really great things about the Switch port of this game. Locked 30fps compared to the very inconsistent 40-60fps on PS4/Xbone at a decent resolution, low input lag, good load times. As well as great things about the game itself.
Would probably jump on it as there doesn't seem to be a physical release for the Switch version in Europe, but I have already bought a lot of games recently, plus I may just hold out for the PC version. |

| Crash 4 and Apex both 720p 30fps, one looks great still and shows the great job porting the other like mud due to the artstyle & genre. |

It's quite a bit more than that. For a start, while they both target 720p 30fps, Crash seems to solidly hit that target while apparently Apex Legends has a lot of big FPS drops and other graphical problems. There have been other grittier first person shooters that target 720p30fps that look and play a lot better on Switch like Doom and Wolfenstein. |

| I saw Sakuna and thought about it for my daughter. Balladeer would you recommend this for a 9-year old that likes Animal Crossing? From your review (and Nintendo Life's which was more critical) I'm not sure if it's too much like hard work. |

| I don't think Sakuna's an RPG. It has RPG elements but it's an action game and a farming game. In any case, I'd imagine it'll feel completely different to the other RPGs you're playing: I could go straight onto it from Bravely Default 2 no problem. - gjones wrote:

It's the action side of things that I'd be more sceptical about for a nine-year-old! It's not easy, but you can whack both that and the farming difficulty down (individually if you prefer). I find it tremendously hard to gauge how other people are going to take to the farming, and I say this as somebody who thinks Animal Crossing has a lot of dull busywork... but it also has bright colours and friendly animals. Sakuna, not so much: if you see an animal, odds are you're smashing it with a hoe. Much as I hate to say it, because I love the game and think it's great and would love to chat about it with people, it's maybe not nine-year-old material. |

This is useful to know and it's probably not something I would play (if she didn't like it) - Stardew's farming bored me to tears but Sakuna looks just so goooood. Cheers! |

Here's the thing: I don't think it's like other farming sims. I haven't bought Stardew precisely because I find that games like Animal Crossing lose their lustre quickly for me, yet with Sakuna, mixing in the action (which I reckon you'd like as much as me if not more) made the farming work; so I wouldn't knock it off your list because of that. I would obviously advise caution to the impatient gamer, but don't assume that you'll find Sakuna much like other farming sims. Or maybe you will! I don't know, I haven't played many of them. |
