| That FNDDGAME code from Currys comes and goes, but they've ran that deal often enough to make me feel that I can likely shop there for stuff like Skyward Sword HD and Mario Golf Super Rush.

On a similar accord, The Game Collection are giving you 5% off any order with the code B5NKHOLIDAY . I used it to get Taxi Chaos for £18 - a full £12 cheaper than it's price at Amazon, Argos and the sorts:

| Not really promoting any bargains, but just acknowledging how good the current (soon to be ending) Switch online sale is - I'm getting stuff for 80% off etc., which seems unheard of on the ol' eShop; but a lot of the prices I've looked up are cheaper than the PSN Store for example.
This is a bit of a tangent - a confession: 2/3 of the things I'm getting, I already have on Steam. However, my "bucket list" on the PC is getting longer rather than shorter - especially as I've still been working from home, and am usually sick of sitting in front of the screen on a weekday. So, in an economic gap in logic, I'm purchasing them as I really want to play them, but know I'm more likely to get to them before I snuff it if I get a console version. |

| I tried to have a look at eShop sale but going through 1800 games is meh. Then on it today looking at new releases, spotted in the chart NNK for £10.
If it wasn't in the chart I would have totally missed it. I say this but not actually bought it because prefer physical, just now thinking might be something I do want which I just couldn't find.
Did you get anything nice, Jim? |

| I'll likely post fuller thoughts in the reviews thread later this weekend, but Part Time UFO is a bargain at £5.33:

| I just bought Grindstone but that's only 20% off. Played about an hour and it's pretty good though.
Others on my wishlist which are discounted are Hades, Shantae and the Seven Sirens, Manifold Garden and Bug Fables. Was also considering Part Time UFO so might take the plunge on that following Cappa's recommendation.
The eShop is super shit but www.dekudeals.com is good for keeping track of discounted games - it has live updates and loads of filters. (Balla - I don't know if you're determined to get a physical copy of Ys VIII but it informs me that it's now £16.99 on the eShop!) |

| Gnrrrrrrrgh... I have now asked for it as a gift, and I don't have other games to ask for right now... I did pick up Creature in the Well, CrossCode, Bake and Switch, Gato Roboto, and a point-and-click game for cheap(er in the case of CrossCode) in the sale, though, so I'm still doing okay out of it. It also inspired me to give the Pikmin 3 demo. a go, even though I realised belatedly that even if I got it I'd still want the physical copy. |

| I bought Metro: Last Light as that was a couple of quid but not bothered with anything else because I know I have enough in my backlog. One such game is Reventure which I started this week and it's very enjoyable, there's basically 100 endings that you can get and those endings can have a knock on effect to your next game, some more than others and it's all accompanied by some good humour. Why am I mentioning this in the Bargains thread? Because it's £2.50 in this very sale, buy it. |

For new things, I got Firewatch and Return of the Obra Dinn, which should have been top of my "let's play games about using your brains" manifesto, now that I'm Health Secretary or something. But I "transferred" Donut County, Gato Roboto (snap Balla ), 140, Rogue Legacy and the Lego Harry Potter games - and finding myself excited as if I was a kid and had just been given them for the first time as a present. - Treesmurf wrote:

| I picked up a handful of games a few days ago that I've been meaning to get which are: John Wick Hex (50% off) & Panzer Paladin. (30% off) Also I took a punt on Super Cable Boy which just came out (24th) & it's a pretty neat platformer so far. |

Hooray! Now hold that fist there for... er... probably as long as it takes me to finish Ori 2. I bought another game at 75% off today: Jenny LeClue - Detectivu. So obscure Ninty Life hasn't reviewed it, yet I've seen people elsewhere being relatively positive about it. |

| Jenny LeClue is so obscure that it come out and didn't get any points for Jim on Fantasy Critic (Hopefully Jay isn't this mean with Fantasian) because mobile.
Would like to hear what's it like, though. |
