I don't know if that was the best deal as you'd get £20 for TWEWY on eBay all day long (even CEX would have give you £11 cash if you couldn't be assed with posting and fees) and not the £4 or whatever GAME would have gave you.
I don't know about the rest but I know TWEWY is a sort after title still on DS.

Bought a new Chromebook to replace the laptop I've had since 1762 BC. Also bought two DS games:
I bought Henry Hatsworth again after seeing it on a few of the 2D platformer lists youse put up in the random thoughts thread. I thought it was nothing special before, but I'm giving it another go. The Sims was 99p and sealed.

@mas: I probably should check such things out a bit more than I do. I’ll try to pay a bit more attention in future.
@Cappa: crikey, what what, blimey. All I can remember about Hatters is the hards as nails boss at the end, and the general gameplay setup. Hope you have much fun.

Second best platformer ever (according to Balla), that! I'm surprised it goes for so little, imagined it was pretty scarce! It is dead hard, but I had a grand old time of it - let's see if you do likewise.

I seem to recall that there's a certain fondness for - what is that? Metroid Prime? - around these parts. Sounds like a remake of the NES game to me, possibly not worth bothering with, etc.
There's no picture for this one either... but yesterday I booked to go to New York for Jo's birthday. I'm very excited, particularly as it turns out that the Nintendo World Store is in another massive shopping centre, so we're both going to get something out of the trip there.

Metroid Prime is a game that I've started at least 5 times, done the first boss and then lost interest. I'm not sure what it is, but I know it's a stunning game.

I actually quite enjoyed the Street games - Fifa Street was pretty damn good.

It was a great series. I thought NBA Street was even better than FIFA Street! NBA Street Vol. 2 and NBA Street V3 (the one with Mario, Luigi and Peach in it) are GameCube essentials. Proper 9/10 games, those 👌

Picked up my 77th PAL GameCube game on Monday
Had a quick spin this afternoon and seems okay, from the 10mins or so.

Seeing the gorgeous Japanese cardboard boxes, I'm so gutted Western Gamecube games were in boring DVD cases

The Japanese cases are really nice, and a odd one the yanks have a similar case to us in Europe as in DVD size but is different inside and how it shuts.
Odd that not all the same.

I can understand why Western retailers didn't want to try and cram boxes onto shelves, but I'm surprised by the US/ EU split.

More books. Decided to try some different things with this haul. From the left we have The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch, Red Sister by Mark Lawrence, Ship of Magic by Robin Hobb, Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, Thief of Time by Terry Pratchett, and The Painted Man by Peter V. Brett.
I'm sure two of those will please certain members of the forum and the rest will leave question-marks over folks heads. Bit of a sequence break with Thief of Time, I know it's one of the later Death novels, but I wanted more Death and it was the only option on the shelf.

God of War on PS4, got it yesterday for £43.
I don't talk about digital games often but downloaded Panzer Dragoon Orta on Xbox One as the physical OG Xbox version is £40+ now. Then this morning I downloaded VA-11 HALL- A on VITA.

Correct! As always, let us know how you get on. I can't actually remember a lot of Good Omens - as in, I remember story beats, but not how I felt reading the book. Usually it's the other way around!
(I am, as mentioned earlier, reading The Beach. It's alright. Would be better if the main character could stop thinking with his genitals for a few seconds.)

I bought Yooka-Laylee early, because 2 quid's worth of gold points were expiring. Saving money innit. By buying something you wouldn't have bought yet, with a slight discount.

Yooka-Laylee did what it promised and did it quite well - I thought a lot of folk were too harsh on it. Enjoy!
As for me, I picked up Rayman 3D in British Heart Foundation for £4.99.

Always fancied Rayman 3D. Is it much like Rayman 2 or 3? Underrated games.
I made use of some price drops on the Vita PSN sale - £15 for these three:
Balla, what's Muramasa like? Heard nothing but great things. Would like to pick up the Little King's Story game on Vita too.

It's a funny one. It's basically a 2D brawler, with strong RPG elements (levelling up, weapon upgrades, semi-random battles) and a bit of Metroidvania. It's all steeped in Japanese culture, so it really appealed to me. And it all looks beautiful and sounds great. I'm probably not doing the best job of explaining this, but - yes. Good game is good.
