| Is it really that shocking? I mean, 15 hours in a Monster Hunter game equates to like 20 minutes in a normal game. |

| I got Captain Toad with my CeX credit with the intention of trading in to Game towards Spiderman at £4 profit (there's method to my madness).
Anyway with it being a fairly short game I figured I'd play through it first before trading in next week. It's exactly as I remember it, easy to pick up and play so feels perfect for the Switch.

| When you agree with Andyman on two games out of three and have to refresh the page several times to check you're reading it correctly. (I haven't yet decided whether I think Icos is worthy of 'banger' status. It's good though.) |

| I'm still working my way through Yooka-Laylee (the only third-person game to give me motion sickness, I should add) and found the very naughty joke in the space world. But I'm trying to clear it now so I have an excuse to get Hollow Knight... or maybe wait until Dark Souls... either way, my "spare 10 minutes" game for the next 10 years will be Football Manager. I'm quite impressed with the 3D engine now. I know it looks like "baws" compared with everything else, but it used to be that the graphical engine tried to re-create what the commentary (which was actually driving the simulation) was saying. Now it seems that the players behave more like real ones. Even when they do something bloody stupid, it seems like something that would happen in a "football's funniest wallies" show. Exhibit A: Defensive calamity. |

| Started playing Sonic Mania Plus. It's classic Sonic, which is pretty fun, albeit regularly quite frustrating. Currently fuming over the boss of Flying Battery Act 2, because when it's game over, it's back to the beginning of Act 1 with you, which is a pain in the arse because I can do both acts, it's just the one boss that's a wee wank. That's one thing I don't miss about retro game design. I'm a grown man! I've got stuff to do! I would rather be making progress in a game instead of having my arse handed to me and be forced to spend at least 10 minutes getting back to the point of trying the boss again. I'll get there eventually, I'm sure. |

| Acht, that is bobbins. In any game these days, if game overs (and/or deaths) are at all likely then I'd better not have too far to go to get back to where I was, or else I'll be darned annoyed. Retreading old ground isn't fun and it often isn't even hard, it's just tedious. Hope you smash it soon Rum. |

| Mario Tennis Aces still. Online tournaments are still fun to compete in, new character matchups are a joy to discover and play with, and it's the best local multiplayer game on Switch. |

| It's a toss-up between that or MK8D for me, personally - at least until December, mind you! Give me a shout if you fancy a few sets anytime Fronk, I'm about most evenings. |

| This is the time to beat, seemingly. You must have the theme for that track ingrained in your mind by now. |

| I'm alternating between Okami, Octopath, HLD, and I've actually started playing Thimbleweed Park again with The Lady. None of them are mind-blowing enough (or, in the case of Okami, new enough) to make me want to focus on them and them alone, but my gosh I'm having a good gaming time right now! |

| I've no clue how you can feasibly juggle so many games! I end up distracted and never returning to one of them if I do that. |

I have at least got TWP off my plate now! HLD is probably going to be that one though. Anyone got some recommendations for Switch local co-op fun that isn't Snipperclips or Overcooked? That's a niche request, I'm aware. |

- Streets of Red (pop culture referencing classic beat 'em up) - Human Fall Flat (comedy physics puzzle platformer) - Enter the Gungeon (rougelike bullethelllite) - Minecraft (everyone has definitely played this by now) - Lego City Undercover (Lego GTA) - Go Vacation (just go exploring and mess about in free roam) - Hyrule Warriors (Zelda Musou) - Spelunker Party (old school brittle platforming) Less recommended and more also available: - Super Bomberman R (patching may have made this a lot better now) - Binding of Isaac (it's not really a full second player experience) - Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle (this devolves into the better player telling the other what to do) - Super Mario Odyssey (it's also not really a full second player experience) - Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (you could technically coop the battle mode...) - Blaster Master Zero (it's also also not really a full second player experience) There are a load of others too I think |

| Did they sort the framerate going to hell in split-screen mode in the Warrriors games on Switch? I know it was a problem on Wii U, so you'd hope that bit of extra oomph might have helped matters. |

Chinese Super League. I'm a frickin' hipster like that! Anyway, sorry for chiming in out of turn there - please all carry on with co-op Switch games |

| Thanks for the extensive list OR! Sadly I'm not sure if any of those are right for her, she's mostly into stuff like Divinity. LCU might fit the bill, but I heard it had problems on Switch? Also: 'bullethelllite' has too many 'l's. |
