| I'm looking forward to spending hours tinkering with the control settings, to go with the hours I'll spend tinkering with the music. |

| Not long Balla - not long now...
I should probably make 3 different Mii characters for the three types of thing - however, I only have 2 Miis on the system, and one of them is my mum. Which other two well-know faces should become the brawler and the swordfighter? |

| I played through Subsurface Circular last night, after being further persuaded by Mas' recommendation. I liked it, the setting and themes were interesting and overall story/mystery compelling, but I didn't love it. The more traditional puzzles seemed ill-fitting (like the logic puzzle from the priest) and the focus point system didn't come across as particularly revolutionary or unique to me. I would have preferred more branching dialogue, where instead it was actually pretty linear puzzle-lite progression. |

| Not on Switch but with the award chat then maybe it should go here as I started Final Fantasy XV PEHD again but now I have the full game on Xbox One instead of the PC version with the mobile pricing structure.
I'm now on Chapter 3 and it is a fun little game, it is odd playing it on Xbox One not in ohh it's Final Fantasy but as in it's these cure chibi characters that I do think it would have been best on 3DS or VITA, I guess those are both too dead for Square.
Switch part from mobile, might be the best place to play it but it's least my least preferred system based on how I play. |

| I recently got back into Ninja Gaiden again thanks to its addition to the NES Online app, and I'm now on 5-3 which is where I got to on NES.
Other than that, I picked up V-Rally 4 (great fun if flawed), and have been enjoying the extra games added to the SNK 40th Collection. Many of them are historical curiosities worth checking out, some of them are still mechanically engaging! |

| Played Tetris 99 for about an hour this afternoon which became very much one more game after each game to see if I can do better and improve my rank. I'm either gone really quickly and placing 91st or top 10 and like 6th with no middle ground or win yet.

| Tetris Battle Royale is just such a Nintendo idea. I've heard good things though, so it seems to have worked! |

| I'm enjoying Tetris 99 a lot. I managed 3rd once, 4th a number of times, and generally place in the top half at least - though the better you get I think more of a target gets placed on your head - the 'badge' option I'm pretty sure targets higher-levelled players. One day I might win... |

| I'm just miserable at Tetris as a whole, so this isn't really my jam. If you're good at Tetris though, I can totally get the appeal of this. Getting pasted over and over again isn't a lot of fun for myself, but that's definitely a "me" problem! |

That's sort why I like Apex as I've played with mates as even if we suck we can have a laugh on chat whilst this does haven't that even with the team mode coming. |

| I have finally made a start on Hyper Light drifter and I've cleared the first area off to the right of the map, the combat is nice especially the risk/reward mechanic of needing to slash enemies to get ammo for your gun.

| I've hit second on Tetris 99. I enjoy it but I reckon I'd probably stop if I ever get the win.
I've got Hyper Light Drifter waiting to be played but I've gone for Okamiv instead as its one of Shen's favourite games. |

| Have you not played Okami before? I think I should get it again at some point since I've never beaten it before.

| Join us! I've also reverted to playing Okami as my main game. It's comforting, as well as being beautiful and fun and actually having decent combat without the waggle controls. Actually, don't join us: I've spent so long saying you should play HLD, I definitely shouldn't be encouraging you to drop it. |

| Don't worry that won't be happening seeing as I last left it at the third boss which I'm determined to beat the next time I play. |

| I'm trying to speed up DQB, before the sequel drops in July - my Sister / Bro-In-Law have heavily hinted that they want me for 3 player multiplayer. And I haven't got back to 1st place in Tetris 99 yet. I seem to do better if I don't actively choose who to attack. |

| I came second three times in Tetris 99 today. So close to glory! But when it ends up being a face-off like that it's just bananas. |

| I touched Okami on Wii but never got very far. I'm better at games, more patient and way more of a weeb now though, so I'm loving it.
Also I actually visited Ise where Amaterasu is enshrined (that's where I got my magatama) so I feel much more connected to the game. |

| Okami is worth every minute of anyone's time, I think I enjoyed it even more in my second playthrough last year.
I'm progressing nicely through Smash Bros Ultimate now, I think I'm in the final stretch and I'm a bit gutted, it's crazy how with little story they've managed to get me excited to see which spirit is next and how they'll spin the battle. I'm not sure if it's down to the added stat boosts from spirits but I'm enjoying using some new characters to the point I've got a massive list of potential mains, I think Random might be the way forward. |

| I think some of it is down to the stat boosts you receive in WoL, as in the final portion of the game I had a beyond broken spirit set up for sword fighters and that's where I began to really like fighters like Cloud and Corrin. But on the other hand I think a lot are just really well refined compared to the last game. |

| Yep, re-facing the bosses in Classic when you're Spirit-free is a great big reality check. |

| Trying not to start anything too big as Sekiro is out next week so I bought Odallus & Oniken as they were both 20% off & are meant to be quite short, both are from the same devs & both feel as if they were forgotten NES games. Oniken is quite brutal in that you only have about 4 lives to clear each mission, if you lose those you starting the mission all over again so it's a lot of trial and error style gameplay plus it's check points aren't that obvious. In Odallus you have bit more breathing room since it's levels have branching paths and secrets to unlock & you have an obvious check point system mid level or sometimes even before a boss, your armour and weapon looks like it can be levelled up (not done/found this yet) & you find relics that give you certain abilities as well as sub weapons - if you like Castlevaina III then you'll probably like this.
Oh both also have slight issues with their controls in that they're mapped in an awkward way from what you'd expect in this genre to have but apparently patches are on the way for button remapping. |

| Whereas I got myself lost in Baba Is You. Oh boy. My poor feeble human brain. It's tremendous, don't get me wrong - just terribly brain-knotting. And rather clever. Oh, and we got out Overcooked again. It almost immediately played the 'slippery floor' card and we got annoyed. Who first thought that reduced traction in videogames was a good idea, and can we smack them? |

| Ugh, I hated the ice levels in Overcooked. Ice levels are miserable affairs all round.
I like the look of Baba is You. Might be one to pick up soon enough. |
