| At the moment I'm just dipping in here and there to try to beat classic with everyone. |

| That's part of my Spirit collection adventure as you get a fighter spirit every time you clear Classic mode. Annoyingly, you need to wait for alternate costumes - the Koopalings, female/male swaps, more involved stuff like Builder Mario and so on - to turn up randomly in the shop as clearing Classic using an alternate costume doesn't reward you with that Spirit. |

| My endgame is to unlock all of the music tracks and Mii costumes. Classic does that and also earns me coins to buy them, so... yep, I'm doing the same!
The Ice Climbers seem to have much less range on their hammers than I remember. |

| I've got less than a hundred spirits to go! It's been a lot of fun cycling between the Spirit Board and Classic Mode to nab those last spirits. |

| I seem to be collecting Spirits too... the Shop's no longer stocking songs or gear, so I presume I've got them all, but it didn't give me a milestone to say as much. It didn't give me one for 'completing' all the Challenges either. The milestones seem faintly bobbins.
Anyway, ROB seems really good this time around. |

| Yeah, you don't get a milestone for those accomplishments, which is a tad disappointing. You should have 876 songs if you've got them all, apparently. I keep changing my mind on who my favourite is - I don't have a "main" as such but a handful of character that I really like. I think I main Random. |

| I'm not looking at all the courses and summing the songs! I'm a numbers nerd, but I'm not that bad.
I would play random, but there are some characters I actively don't want to play as. (Stop me if you've heard this before. (I'll carry on anyway, mind.)) |

Luckily for you, there's an "All" category in the Music vault. |

| 87...5!? Ah spit, which one am I missing? EDIT: Google helped me find it. Hidden in an obscure area of the WoL map. Ferchrissake. |

| Whew, lucky you'd found it otherwise you genuinely might have had to trawl through each list to find the missing track! |

| Yes, that does... not sound fun. Unrelated: the new Classic Mode is the best it's ever been, natch, but does anyone else think that some of them they could have done a bit more with? A couple of examples below: - Wario:
'I'm-A Gonna Ween' doesn't seem to have anything to do with his foes. I'd go for something like 'Aromatic Assault' and have him fighting a bunch of big-nosed or smell-sensitive characters. Yoshi, Fox and Wolf, Olimar, Bowser and Junior, Duck Hunt, finishing off with Mario and Luigi (perhaps Wario could start off with a Waluigi Assist?); then finish off with Rathalos or something similar. The Hands don't have noses.
- Daisy:
I was so excited at the idea of 'Sarasaland Represent!' But it was bobbins: just a bunch of princesses. I'd go for a set of characters that represent the levels in SML1: - Incineroar on Mushroomy Kingdom;
- ROB on the Animal Crossing island;
- Bowser and Kirby on Rainbow Ride or the Wind Waker ship;
- Metal/Giant Ganondorf in Gerudo Desert;
- Luigi on Electroplankton;
- Falco horde battle on Magicant;
- Marx as final.

| That's a fault with the translation team as opposed to the actual game - Wario's is "My super strength is number one!" according to the Smash Wiki and he battles against strong characters like Incineroar and K.Rool, whereas Daisy's is simply "Princess of the Battlefield", hence the focus on other princesses. |

| While that explains some of it, I still think my ideas were better. Shulk's classic was pretty clever though. Incidentally I have barely played as Rosalina since 4, took her for her first spin in Classic... and got 9.9 first try. She's a monster! |

| Oh, I don't look playing as Rosalina at all! She just feels awkward to use.
I think I've just got the fighter spirits for clearing Classic Mode left to nab... nearly done! |

| See also: Lucas. See not also: Ridley. Especially because his dodge roll is slow and the Hands kept mushing him into a fine paste. Poor Cunning God of Death. Anyway, I'm done with this for now I think! All Classics finished (at least you get a milestone for that). Is a good game. |

| Wow! I've not even got to that point yet. I think I need to bash on with that though as the only spirits I'm missing are the Fighter Spirits and one for having Let's Go Eevee save data, which I might pinch my brother's copy in order to claim 100% completion over SSBU. |

| Is it bad that I've already started thinking about who I want to see in Smash 6? Smash 5's single-player isn't cold in the ground, and even the first bit of DLC hasn't emerged. (I'm fairly sure the characters I want won't turn up in the season pass, mind.) |

| So we know we're getting Joker as one of the five.
Ideally, I'd like to see Goku, John Cena, Blinx the Time Sweeper and the giant bat you fight at the start of Castlevania. |

| Boss Baby, Gex, Chunk from the Goonies, Principal Skinner, Joker from the Suicide Squad movie and Courage the Cowardly Dog are my top picks, if at least 2 of them aren't included then Sakurai might as well retire.

My first hope is that he gets a break and that they get somebody else to lead on Smash! Will he let them, though? - The_Jaster wrote:

I was going to give a serious answer, but now everybody's being funny and I feel I have to keep up the pattern. Er. Absol, Reggie, a Meteos alien, Mark Green? (Should have just gone with serious, Balla...) - EDIT - sorry, outputting serious points anyway, couldn't resist:
We know we have Joker as the first one. It's also been stated that the other characters are weird and could basically be from anywhere. Therefore I think it's unrealistic for me to hope for four more Nintendo characters - or at least four more normal obvious Nintendo characters.
For number two, some stuff's been data-mined suggesting either Erdrick from Dragon Quest (spoilered more because that's the favourite) or a character from the Bravely franchise. I couldn't give a stuff about the character in white text, but I love the Bravely games, and I'd be up for the characters using different jobs as their specials (with the outfits appearing briefly, natch).
Tiz Arrior seems like the most likely option. Final Smash as one of Default's special moves, complete with a snippet of Revo's music. He probably has 'Default/Brave' as a counter move, like every other anime swordsman. Oh well. Stage: Norende, occasionally being attacked by Ba'als.
For number 3, I reckon we'll see another 'developer mascot' character, like Joker. I'd love to see Level-5 represented by Professor Layton. While he probably has some fencing smarts, his special moves should be spraying Hint Coins as projectiles, using his hat as a trampoline/projectile... and serving people tea, natch. Stage: the Azran temple. Death lasers and falling debris ahoy!
I predicted that we'd see a character from an indie game, and I still can't get any further than Madeline from Celeste (although there are more likely examples). Strong jumps, an impact version of her dash, bow-and-arrow from her appearance in Towerfall, and a Sonic-like Final Smash where she uses the Golden Feather. Badeline joins in with Smash Attacks. Stage: Celeste Mountain, looking like the first level, plenty of spikes and moving platforms. The soundtrack would be excellent.
And for the final one... I do think this is our best chance of seeing a real person as DLC, like Reggie or Sakurai himself. Goodness knows what special moves he'd have: hurling controllers as projectiles, a down throw that slots somebody into a Switch dock, turning foes into lines of code and reassembling them? The possibilities are pretty extensive. Stage: a version of Final Destination where elements of other franchises (Paragoombas, Keese, Bronto Burt, hammers from Helmet) fly across.
