| I'm sorry - I couldn't do serious answers! I genuinely love the surprise of a new person turning up to Smash (I don't really know who this Joker fella is, but it's nice to have them here) so I try not to think about it too much, and not be too disappointed. - I've really tried this time:
I know we harp on about Dark Souls all the time, but given how the remastered version was so well received, I really would like a main NPC from there - it's as "big" as Final Fantasy, and we godt cloud. I think Solaire's a bit predictable (albeit he has an amiibo) - so why not Siegward? Everyone likes the chap. He's got a big-o-sword, so it makes Sakurai's life easier.
This is very unlikely, but: I predictably go on about old British 80s computer crap a lot; however there is a large video game history there which is not recognised by the rest of the world. In between now and the final DLC (which of course is going to be impossibly as they've probably finished everything) I'd like something from "those days" to have a re-imagining on Steam. Actually, my joke answer of Monty Mole is also a genuine answer (his final Smash would be to become Impossamole. Yeah. Look it up yourself.) Failing that I guess Dizzy, Boulderdash, the other Boulderdash with the green one, Willy the Miner, Head and/or Heels.
Given we've got Cloud, can we plead with Microsoft to get a Rare character? Banjo-Kazooie surely. They're all about having different moves, so it makes the Smash programming a piece of piss. (or Sabreman. Not Sabreman)
And we should round those out with a recent indie darling - I can't look beyond Balla's Madeline suggestion (nearly wrote Celeste instead - why cant metroid crawl)

Leon S Kennedy (I'd personally prefer Jill Valentine but Resi 4 was a Gamecube original and Resi 2 Remake just came out so it'd make sense) Obviously I'd be on board with Solaire or Siegward Scorpion and Sub Zero might make a kind of sense seeing as we have Ryu and Ken. On a similar note, Heihachi or someone from Tekken. |

I'd be up for more Capcom characters & other ones that come to mind as fun possibilities are: Monster hunter (natch), Amaterasu, Phoenix Wright & Sissel. - Drunka wrote:

It makes sense with Mortal Kombat 11 coming to Switch this year. - Jimbob wrote:

Solid pick but if you don't want predictable how about Sif, the great grey Wolf? You'd obviously need to shrink him down a bit but I think a Sword Doggo would be great fun. |

| Amaterasu and Sif are GREAT choices, I'm always up for less human picks. Obviously I'd love to see Feeny but they'd definitely be repeating schtick from his MvC appearance.

Which wouldn't be a bad thing at all - they nailed him in MvC3 ("no alibi, no justice, no dream, no hope!") and having Maya run in to beat the shit out of Hulk and Dr. Doom for half of Phoenix's moves was brilliant. |

| So I had a wee think about this now & my remaining 4 picks would be: Monster Hunter: You could get great variety out of a fighter like this given all the weapons the series has, I'm thinking smash attacks would be different levels of charge of a great sword depending on how long you held it. Sif, The Great Grey Wolf: Travis Touchdown: I know, I know it'd be another Sword type fighter (at least he's not from Fire emblem though eh?) but since he also has wrestling moves he could have good throws as well. His down B could be him saving on the toilet with it maybe being a rest like move or a counter. Masked Lumen: I always wanted Rodin to be a smash fighter as soon as Bayo herself was introduced but since he's an assist trophy I think Masked Lumen is next best thing to choose. |

| Phoenix just missed out on my list, for basically the reason Drunka said. Didn't he basically go through three phases in MvC3 though? I can't see him doing that in Smash. Cameo Maya appearances would be excellent, though; as would coffee-throwing Godot as an Assist Trophy. I'd love to see Ammy (three different weapons, Brush Gods, ramming the Ark of Yamato into the stage for her Final Smash), but I can't see past Phoenix or a Resi character if Capcom gets more representation. Travis is another belting suggestion. I'd have said he wouldn't fit the series' tone back in the Wii U era, only we then got Bayonetta. No more swordsmen with counters though. Perhaps his toilet could be a recovery move? 'But Balla, didn't you just suggest-' Yes yes alright. |

That could work as well though I saw it more like Pac man's fire hydrant move in my head. |

This is one of my hopes, definitely. We've got Rathalos on the game... let's get a fighter next, Sakurai. |

| So now that he's out has anyone had the chance to play as Piranha Plant yet? I think he's great fun and his down B is especially interesting since it can be used in numerous ways. |

| It's daft, which is exactly what I hoped for. I have to get to grips with its specials a bit better, though - apart from Ptooie which is easy to use and stupidly powerful. |

| He (or is she?) is definitely a unique fighter, that's for sure. Really goofy animation and seeing the Plant hold items is just brilliant. And it's free, to boot! I had a run through of the Plant's classic mode to get to grips with him - it's going to take some getting used to as the Plant does feel different to pretty much every other fighter in the game. So, at least we've avoided having another anime swordsman in the game! |

I took on Rathalos in World of Light yesterday and a MonHun character was suddenly my most wanted character for the game. Sent from Topic'it App |

| Would like to see 2B from Nier, Dante from DMC, Travis Touchdown and Spider-Man (more realistic alternative: a Resident Evil rep like Chris/Leon would be cool). |

https://nintendoeverything.com/psa-playing-as-piranha-plant-in-smash-bros-ultimates-all-star-mode-can-corrupt-save-data/ There have been at least 3 news worthy bugs and glitches with this game (Isabelle catching stuff and breaking the game, infinite assist trophies, and this) And while it's great they were all fixed pretty quick I think it's embarrassing for a game in that position to have made it to release as it did. I love the game, and the fact that the bugs didn't really cause much more than bonus entertainment for the most part shows how much everyone else loves the game. But I feel like Nintendo is better than this. That's just my 2 cents*. *Euro cents |
