Rocket League (The Car's The Starman)

When significant others/ children/ parents are using the TV? When you live in hostels that don't have TVs a lot of the time? In bed?

Yeah you will want to play this on the TV most of the time but I'm not a fan of playing RL with a split screen so if local games were happening on Switch I'd be in handheld/tabletop mode.

More likely to have access to a telly than a second Switch, or maybe that's just me (I haven't travelled to somewhere telly-less for a good while)? What don't you like about split-screen Jas?

The game is quite fast paced at times and I've found myself getting disorientated by being able to see what the other player is doing.

That's fair enough. I think my family and I have only ever played it at a rather more sedate pace. (We're rubbish, is what I'm saying.)

Until the Switch release, I'd only ever played this splitscreen. It was a regular fixture when drinking at mates' houses.

I can definitely play it that way if it's the only option but it does hinder my overall game a little.

It does look like more WWE stuff will eventually come to RL & wrestler toppers sounds like a no brainer, doesn't it?

Those WWE items are disappointingly unimaginative, especially when you see what they've offered through other partnerships and seasonal events.

Yes, but musicians smash their own guitars fairly regularly. You've got to take care of a 'cello. I kicked one over once by accident and was absolutely mortified.

If you go to Extras on the main screen and then Redeem Code, you can enter 'wrestlemania' to get two free WWE items. I got a RAW and an NXT antenna.

The first batch of items has me feeling the next lot won't be too exciting either, perhaps if we're lucky we'll get decals with some wrestler logos on them.

Another event (the 3 year anniversary event to be precise) has started for this which runs until the 23rd, and the Throwback mode feels quite different to what I thought it would with the different goal positions and lighter ball.

From what I've played I feel like you need to be more strict with what positions everyone is playing otherwise it just ends up a mad scramble behind the goals and either someone scores from a counter attack or you get a match that goes goalless for the entire 5 minutes.

What the heck's going on with Rocket League gents? I used to love playing it in split-screen, and apparently that's... broken now? I know that Psygnosis got bought out by someone (Epic?) and that it went free-to-play. Did the bottom drop out of it at around the same time?
