| It was literally boxing day (I've been out of retail less than a year and already betrayed everything I stood for) and they'd not had a delivery, so hopefully I'll have more luck at a later date. |

| Fire Emblem on GameCube again, the retro shop in Exeter had it for £120 and it was minty fresh, I know Andy will tell me it's worth all 12000 Pennies but at the moment couldn't quite justify it but we are getting our bonus soon at work and I may try to get the game after that instead of a new PSVR (I want to play Moss okay).
I saw a few other cool bits like an American PS2 boxed with Suikoden III for £50 which isn't bad deal as Suikoden III when sold in the UK can go for £35 on it's own even though it's only about £15-20 if bought direct from the states, I just don't know if I would have used past Suikoden III and I'd have buy all the games online but I do sort of fancy picking up a PS2 which doesn't much sense as....
The CEX in Exeter also had some decent things like Burning Rangers on Saturn (I don't own a Saturn) and on Cube Star Fox Assault for £40 and a really good PS1 selection with things like Final Fantasy Anthology, Final Fantasy IX, Breath of Fire IV, Wild Arms to name a few and unlike Burning Rangers, I've got a PS1 but I don't really want to get back into PS1 stuff and I've only got this PS1 as it was cheap and I do own some PS1 games that would work on the Dreamcast but the bleems are still sealed.
Forgot to say I had birthday instead of Lost Sphear, Dragon Ball or Dissidia and did think about getting them but Lost Sphear hasn't had the best of reviews, Dragon Ball no one else seems to be getting at the moment and Dissidia wasn't very good from the BETAs that all 3 might be got when cheaper or when someone else gets Dragon Ball. |

| Skyrim. I know I will eventually but I didn't want to buy three games in one day, so its arrival in Zero Castle got bumped back. |

| Oh my god, so much stuff. Monster Hunter, Splatoon, Godzilla, transformers, the nicest merchandise and figures from every anime, game, film, comicbook you can think of, in multi-storey buildings packed to the brim! I could easily have blown my Japan budget in one go and had to come home . . .
Yes, I made my first foray into Akihabara Electric Town. |

| Almost every game store had Monster Hunter World in pride of the place at the front. On top of that, I found a couple of figure displays and two separate really impressive dedicated Monster Hunter sections. The best one had jungle vines hanging down, the music playing, all sorts. So satisfying to see that it really is as popular as I imagined! |

| I love immersive shop areas like that - I've only ever really seen it in either gift shops for attractions or the occasional Disney shop, but it's dead cool.
I think MHW is the first game to break a million copies in Japan on PS4, so it seems like Monster Hunter is going to do for Sony and the PS4 what it did for Nintendo and the 3DS. |

| This is one of the reasons next year might be better for me to go Japan as I could have plenty of spending money as long Walmart shares don't plummet.
Jay is that the first Monster Hunter game to do a million or first PS4 game as I can think of a few PS4 games to do a million in Japan and MonHan surely has or is it the one of these quickest to a million things? |

| Drunka, I remember a couple of pieces not so long ago saying how Akihabara was on the way down. Obviously you've not been there before to compare, but it sounds pretty lively to me - any signs of it falling into disrepair, or dramatically doing the opposite? |

| Hmm... I'll admit, there wasn't much in the way of exciting new technology or anything. It was a lot of the same retro/ geek memorabilia, lots of UFO and Gacha machines. Perhaps it is becoming a parody of itself, but it still seems to do a roaring trade from the otaku who are into that kind of stuff. |

| Yesterday, a stroll through Tokyo from Mori Tower took me into Shibuya. I had no trouble resisting the high fashion and cool clothes, the fancy technology and exquisite foods. However, I popped into a newsagent/ bookshop and at the bag, near the manga section (which had a pretty substantial pornographic shelf), were some games books: Gorgeous games art books! The Monster Hunter World one looks like its probably more like a big Prima guide type deal, so I gave that a miss. The Dark Souls III design works will no likely be gorgeous, but I have the 1 & 2 versions in English so I'm sure it'll be easy enough to get hold of in the future, even if I do move home. The Splatoon art book though . . . I had that in my hands for a long old while, very nearly put down the yen. Eventually I talked myself down on the grounds that it was a bit big and heavy to pick up while I don't have a permanent home, and it was a bit early in my trip to spend that kind of dosh. I'm pretty sure I'll be getting it eventually though . . . |

First ps4 game to hit a million in it's first week in Japan & yeah MH games on other formats have been multi million sellers. - Drunkalilly wrote:

You had any quality ramen yet? The food is actually one of if not the top reason why I'd like to visit Japan one day. |

| That does make more sense, Jas.
Super Potato looks amazing from what I've seen in videos on YouTube that I would spend way to much money and trying to explain to customs on the way back why I've got 3 consoles and 50 games in my suitcase.
Even the knock-off Super Tomato in Cardiff is sort of like it but on a smaller more welsh scale, I really should go there again even. |

| Well jealous about your Super Potato trip, Drunka. I'm assuming by your post in this thread you refrained from buying anything in there? - masofdas wrote:

Jay is that the first Monster Hunter game to do a million or first PS4 game as I can think of a few PS4 games to do a million in Japan and MonHan surely has or is it the one of these quickest to a million things? Hm, Famitsu are putting it across as top all-time. "Monster Hunter: World has sold 1,350,412 copies on the first three days (first week) of release, setting a new record for first week sales numbers in the history of PlayStation 4 software. It also holds the historic 1st place in the total [lifetime] sales amount.. Furthermore, if digital sales are included, it is assumed that this game could even surpass 2 million copies." |

| Its not difficult to imagine it as the highest selling PS4 game; Splatoon 2 was the first console game to hit 2 million in several years. Console games have been on a bit of a wane here. - Balladeer wrote:

It was a little too crowded and rushed to feel truly like Inkopolis, to me. I've not played TWEWY yet . . . |

I'm sure Dragon Quest XI has sold over 1.4m but that may include digital and I think Final Fantasy XV might be 1.5m again may include digital where Monster Hunter World doesn't seem to include digital and likely has past those two. |

| I don't know what it is, probably the texture or shape makes it easier to eat but I'd prefer to have an Easter egg over regular chocolate, especially the Chocolate Orange Easter Egg Zero mentioned. |
