| Went back and had a quick blast on HeartGold because I had some spare time and wanted to push a little more forward on some games I hadn't finished.
Good Christ, it's basic. It's like something from another era, which I suppose it is. |

| Nooooo don't say that! I have such fond memories of it, and the soundtrack's great. Sad that it's aged, but inevitable. |

Nope but I struggled with the one after, Fairy types seem more over powered than Dragon ever did to me. |

Nope but I struggled with the one after, Fairy types seem more over powered than Dragon ever did to me. That's the one I've just reached. :affraid: Didn't I beat the second one about four days ago? |

| I don't think Fairy types are overpowered particularly, but then again I had a poison type in my team. Bear in mind that Fairy moves only do half damage against Fire types, even though Fire isn't super effective on Fairy. Pretty much everyone has a Fire type so using them as a defence is a good backup. |

| The only type I have a problem with now is Ghost type. They nerfed Steel so much by making ghost and dark moves hit it for neutral damage this generation. Poor Metagross will never be truly viable again now. In other news hackers are the scum of the earth and Pokemon is going back in to the backlog until Gamefreak fixes this garbage. And if they never fix it then they can count me out from future Pokemon game purchases, but I'm sure it won't come to that. I'm just really angry that now the only Pokemon I can play online is the sims that don't even have all the mechanic changes rather than the game I paid money to play and have invested well over 150 hours of play time creating my online team. Which is now useless because of the new alleged hack out. |

| As an update nobody asked for: I breezed through the Fairy gym quite easily.
Okay, not easily easily, I still had to have a good few goes, but it didn't require anything near the number of rematches the Electric gym took.
That being said, it was much easier to grind for this gym, which may have affected perception. |

| I only had one problem with a gym through the entire thing, that being the rock gym. The generous training methods just made things too easy after that. If I do this again, it'll be without using the Exp. Share at all. |

| I just hatched a shiny Bulbasaur! Unfortunately it didn't inherit its hidden ability from its parents so its nature is wrong ( timid which boosts speed and lowers attack) and its only got relatively superior potential with max hp defense and special attack. But hey! A shiny bublasaur! It can't be a partner for mega Charizard Y like I would have wanted, but I'm sure it can be a perfectly usable mega Venasaur! And so this makes two shinies, with one I actually like now! |

| I gave up trying to get a shiny Rotom by breeding (for now) as I have to try and a decent Togepi and then 5 decent Eevee's for a new competitive team I want to try out at a later stage |

| I am loving the mega Charizard Y and hidden ability Venasaur combo in doubles, Venasaur is a complete monster in the sun turning from slow tank to sweeper with tank stats. And Charizard Y is scary in the sun, its Fire Blast does WAY too much damage. Unnerve Tyranitar is my next planned member, I obviously don't want it creating sandstorms so I'll be going with its admittedly rather useless ability Unnerve, but by virtue of its typing it'll have fantastic synergy for dealing with threats to Venasaur. |

| I'm trying to play Y without looking anything up- so only having the pokédex as I have filled it for reference regards 'mon which are going to evolve, etc.
The question is, does checking lineages in HeartGold count as looking things up? Technically it's information I've uncovered myself, but it does involve leaving the 'world' of XY. Thoughts? |

| Good to see they've updated that exploit, it's been far too long since I've gone on wi-fi because of it. Now if only they'd update the selection of items available on the global link pokemile club. |

If it's stuff you already knew, I'd say 'no'. To be fair, you've got greater willpower than I have: Bulbapedia has been my friend regarding the new monsters! |

| No way is that legitimate. The starter evolutions developed already? Don't make me laugh.
That said, Plusle and Minun evolutions anyone? |

Yeah I would love to see a Plusle and Minum evolution, don't know what into though, something Pikachu / Raichu like? |

| Definitely fake. It had better be anyway, otherwise them dropping the current battle system for an oversimplified one could see me dropping the series, I don't particularly care for the main quest nowadays with how boring and simple it is so if they drop the battle system I can't say I'd be particularly interested. |
