| This takes me back to when the survival horror genre meant something (we've been talking about the genre a lot, why I bring up this OST) to me, check out the complete OST also I have this more obscure OST for you to check out.
I see Balla has done a music of the year on Nintendo systems, with a top 5. I'm not going to go so in depth but my soundtrack of the year is. and this is them singing one of the song. |

| The music in Bastion was one of the highlights of that game - gorgeous western styled stuff, with the two vocal tracks being the obvious stand outs. |

| Aw yiss, glad I paid one of my visits to this thread. That Bastion soundtrack is great, from track 2 onwards. (Although I'm on a couple of duffers now, 5-7.) |

| Here's one from Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. Playing through it just now - not felt a sense of raw, childlike adventure in a long time that I've felt playing through this. The character design, the design of the creatures (some of them genuinely creepy), the adventuring, and the music all add to this. Great stuff so far. |

| More Falcom stuff. This time a few picks from Ys Celceta...whose OST generally felt weaker than most Falcom music tbh, but it's still Falcom music:
"Burning Sword"
"Underground Ruins"
"Seeking the Vanished Mask"
"Black Wings"
Also, while i'm posting in here, i'll just throw these two in...
"Ice Ridge of Noltia" (2012 Arrange) - Ys II
"Main Theme" (Tsukihime) - Tsukihime ~ Blue Blue Glass Moon, Under The Crimson Air

| Wahey, more Western music! Good stuff. The second half ("Outlaws to the End") part of the soundtrack is so, so much worse, though. Dunno why. |

| I finished Assassin's Creed 2 yesterday, and I'd forgotten how phenomenal the music was in it
A couple of my favourites was the music that played whilst exploring Florence and of course, Ezio's Family which has become something of a theme song for the game. |

| And on the Celceta note following Silver I'll add my favourite celceta theme, Ancient Land. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kwzytPA8ihQ No matter how often I hear that violin it'll get me every time. I'm a complete sucker for it. |

| I may well have to make that into a Nintendo music week. I haven't played the game, but then, do I need to, to know that this is the best piece therein? (The answer is "of course not".)
Wasn't the 360 version censored, though? |

| You mean Original Xbox and maybe as it was a 16+ Pegi, the N64 had the parental advisory logo on the front like CD's. So I would say it was censored on Xbox but not the N64.
Also it's a brilliant game, which should be played. |

| I give you one of the worst songs ever in gaming from a pretty awful game as well, which I've actually played. |

| I've neglected this thread for a fair while, time to temperarily rectify that with a top five of Xillia themes. And despite blasting it for having poor music I do have a top five. Number five is Daring Sword (Milla)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1eXXpKLI2Uk |

| Time for more glorious Gust goodness! Have some Atelier Escha & Logy picks
"Corpse"
"In The Nest That Has No Worker Bee"
Also, one of the select few vocal VGM i actually like
"Sky of Twilight"
I'd post more, but geez the audio quality on all of these E&L Youtube uploads is, quite frankly, crap...so instead have an Ar tonelico Hymmnos track as a bonus
"EXEC_LINCA/." - Ar tonelico: Melody of Elemia |

| Been listening to bits and pieces of the Shadow of the Colossus OST.
Listen to the whole thing as there's barely a bad track in there, but my personal highlights are Revived Power (21:56 in video), Silence (24:42), The Farthest Land (29:30), A Despair Filled Farewell (42:59, it really really picks up halfway through), Prayer (45:12), and The Sunlit Earth (104:25). |
