I feel your point needs to be more deeply explored in future Mario lore, Mas. We can start a lovely podcast about it - let's call it Mushroom Flask or something like that.

Peachette is Toadette becoming Peach, not just Human. That's why Bowsette (which is a dumb name, it should be Peachser) looks like a lady.

Now, I'm not condemning or condoning the existence of a slightly kinkier Princess Peach, but does anyone know where to get a cheap Micro SD? My phone is out of space for downloaded images . . .

Human or not, peach could still be a toadette really and why we only ever really see her.

Then is Peach a title that can be passed onto different denizens of the Mushroom Kingdom? The Mario lore has been blown WIDE open folks.

She's actually a democratically elected temporary monarch.

In this case, crossed with another common Rule of the Internet.

Apparently the newly released Art of Mario Odyssey book shows an early plan for an "official bowsette", where bowser was planned to cap-tjre peach in the final boss battle. Kind of like fighting Zelda in TP, I guess…

I saw that! The design for Princess Bowser - to distinguish her from her far more lewd counterpart - was quite cool actually! I'm a wee bit sad that it wasn't realised in the game itself.

It is somewhat of a shame, but I can understand why they would ultimately remove smcking Peach around from the game.

Makes me wish they'd allowed you to possess Peach, and float over gaps for some levels of her own. Again, though, I suspect the Rule Of Weird trumps any gameplay value that might have.

They just need to let us play as Peach more generally.

I had the Odyssey Art book in my hands today but the price was a little steep. Some other time. . .

It might be time for them to do a 3D Peach Platformer, I'd even take as a smaller e shop only type of game.

I'd buy that. I'd buy more 3D platformers in general, in fact: we don't get enough of them from Nintendo. Odds are we'd get a 2D one though.

3D platformers are clearly much more demanding to make and I've seen way more of them get it wrong than get it right . . . but when they do get it right (ie Mario and not much else) they're the most fun games going.

Since the GameCube I'm struggling to think of many! On Nintendo platforms, anyway. We've had the Marios, we're getting A Hat in Time, and...?
