I was going to suggest 'Jaswatch confirmed' as a tagger, confusing horribly the GRcaders and anybody else who isn't familiar with our history... I've already gone over there to explain the Grackler.

On topic, after going through my extended Yahoo Answers page, I've decided that it doesn't class as a forum and therefore it won't be posted here...

Ok. But, let me point out to you some facts.
Zelda: The new one is definately not a kids game. I mean kids can play it, but compared to Wind Waker, it's NOT a kids game. Plus the gameplay is challenging and rewarding.
Metroid: Not a Kids series. Perhaps the earlier 2D ones are, but the 3D ones on GC and upcoming on Wii, certainly aren't. There is alien guts spilling on your visor, and it is the hardest game I've played on GC.
Other Examples: Let's look at the upcoming release schedule for Wii shall we? Two Resi games, Manhunt 2, Godfather, Scarface, Driver, Mortal Kombat, Project H.A.M.M.E.R, Disaster: Day of Crisis, No More Heroes, Sadness.
A good chunk of games made for OLDER people. Not kids.
The Wii may have kids games on it, sure. Some of them are great! WarioWare, Mario games, Super Smash Brothers, all good series.
But the fact is, the Wii does have games designed for older gamers.
So, it's not a kids console, but I see it as a family console, perfect for todays family. Everyone can join in with the party games, kids can play Mario and WarioWare, and older folks can enjoy all those games listed above.
P.S.: Project HAMMER, looks amazing. You are a guy with a massive hammer, and you swing the Wiimote to crush people and scenery. It's also a Nintendo developed game.
I know, Wii is awesome (got one with Zelda!) but these prejudice people get on my nerves!!

...I mean, if that's the worst you've got you're doing alright. Tone aside, Lil Jay wasn't wrong!

I mean, was I? The majority of the games in that list I gave were either shite or never actually saw the light of day.

I am a bit, myself. Did any of you, as Nintendo fans, come across Zelda Classic? It was a not-at-all-endorsed-by-Nintendo NES Zelda clone, the USP being it came with a complete map editor. People were making their own quests, sprites, etc.. I dabbled in that myself (hopefully Ninty aren't listening - look, I've got 2 copies of the real game!) and wanted to talk about doing Zelda things, and classic gaming in general. Unfortunately, it being a big international thing, it meant that you bumped into a few too many overly-religious-republican-Amreican-types. Although I did find a couple of cool British peeps there, including a chap who got immediately banned from the NGamer forums because he misundertood what one of the forums was for and got accused of spamming. Poor old Limzo - he was a good'n.

I think nowadays I'm only really on this here place, and StarDot, which is the BBC Micro/Acorn forum. However, I'd want to talk about old games all day, but they generally talk about learning machine code for a 30-year-old machine...

Who was Limzo? I can't even remember him! Was he (gasp) before my time...?

Going back to Serebii for a minute, I've been poking my nose in again since I started this thread. I've had a few mildly pleasant chats about the World Cup, Pokemon Lets Go, innocent stuff like that. Then I got brave and clicked on this thread debating the death penalty. Yeah, GNamer doesn't need to worry about remaining my main forum! Big websites are hell.

I think it's safe to assume this place will always be centred around good chats with good folks about good games.

So we're not going ahead with the plans to turn this into a Boris Johnson Appreciation Forum then?
