Game Freak mistook the badgering

I'm guessing that's a reference to the recent Pokémon Direct? Sadly due to my attempts to keep Pokémon spoilers to a minimum, and at least one other forumite (Drunka) trying to do the same, I'm going to have to pass over that one if so. Sorry Mas.

Yeah the Pokemon trailer that Game Freak, Nintendo, Pokemon Company or whoever put out themselves.

I know, and it's one of the reasons it annoys me so much. The new monster designs are the best thing to discover in each new Pokémon game, and yet GF seem determined to spoil as many as possible before release; and because it's the company themselves doing it, gaming Twitter feels like it can do the same.

I think I'd happily unfollow all Pokémon accounts to avoid spoilers but sadly it seems to be everywhere else too, they just need to stop showing them all off, anyone that's sold on it is sold on it and anyone that isn't is still bitching about Maractus not potentially being in the game.

I'd disagree with that - I'm in the boat of "still needing to see more" so I don't mind the reveals. Ideally, I'd like to see the evolutionary lines of the starters at least before jumping into the game.

I definitely don't want that. For me that's spoiler number 1: isn't it more exciting not to know what your partner will look like as they develop? Apparently not, but I wish the Pokémon Company didn't assume that everyone thinks like you do Jay. Make no mistake: once they do an official reveal, there's no escaping it for anyone with a relatively high level of online activity.

It would also I think be more exciting not to know what the final legendary of the adventure is. Instead we have that on the box.

Maybe so, but for such an important Pokemon like my starter I'd like to avoid being lumbered by a 'Mon whose design doesn't do anything for me in its final evolution. As for legendaries, considering they've been on the box since Generation II, I think you're out of luck there...

Being the emotionless robot I am I'd have no trouble dinghying it, perhaps that's what I don't understand. And I don't think anything's going to change on that front, realistically: it's something I'd taken for granted right up until now, when I started thinking about it and thought... 'Isn't it weird that arguably the game's main bosses are shown on the front cover?'

I'd also like to see what the last of the starters is as at the moment I don't know which one I'm going to start with because I don't know what they're going to look like.
