I'm all the way back on board the Suda train for this. I know it was all cinematic 'bullshots', but it looked (a) a return to form and (b) tremendous.

Really wasn't expecting this after Strikes Back but dayumm it looks like a proper return to form, well up for this.

Aye this was cool teaser & I really liked the little Ape out cameo at the start of it as well.

What cameo? I haven't played Ape Out, but I like little nods to other games.

The opening shot of the trailer where it says 'DEAD' on the TV is the game over/level progress screen of Ape out.
A wee screenshot for comparison:

I didn't recognise Travis's voice or catch onto the NMH vibes from the start of the trailer, so that was a nice surprise! I'd love to have a NMH/NMH2 collection ported across to Switch - I've only played a wee bit of the first and never played the second at all, so I'd like to play Mr. Touchdown's earlier adventures before trying NMH3.

Apparently the No More Heroes on PS3/Xbox was the first game with some of the better bosses from the second worked into it. I'd take that on Switch for sure. I've not gotten around to Travis Strikes Back, but I'm now more interested simply because it will whet my appetite for this one.

It was a very decent port/remake, that's definitely enough if they can't be bothered to do 1&2. I'm the same with wanting to try Travis Strikes Back now as well which is bloody brilliant marketing on their part.

A straight port of No More Heroes from PS3 would be good as I'm not paying £40 for a PS3 game in 2019.

I'm tempted to get the remaster on PS4 depending when it comes out. It's going to be September isn't it and buried amongst the 50 other games that month.

Yeah, I had a look at that a while back when I fancied checking out the series, but it was sitting at £45-£50 wherever I looked which was a bit more than I was hoping to pay.

Despite the really positive first impression that this made at E3, I’ve still got the fear that it could all go to buggery. I can’t understate how rubbish Travis Strikes Again was, just a complete misfire that was stuffed with terrible, terrible ideas. I’ve not got all that much faith in No More Heroes III because of how badly I was bored, angered and ripped-off by Suda51’s last Switch game. And that wasn’t even six months ago.

I haven't played TSB, but I am mollified by the fact that this isn't Suda trying to make one giant in-joke: this is him returning to the gameplay of the good games he made. Nonetheless I'll probably wait for reviews before I pick it up, for that exact reason: there's a possibility that it could be another (cough)divisive offering.

TSA, d'oh. Not the Lloyds Banking Videogame, fun though Tom Nook might find it. Travis Strikes Again.

I reckon you're on the money with this one. Suda is a bit of a hit or miss sort of guy, but the pair of proper NMH games he's made have been great by all accounts. I'd chalk up TSA to dodgy spin-off territory and leave it there.

Well if you'd finished Travis Strikes Again you would have played the tiny teaser for NMH3 at the very end
I'm excited for this!

It says a lot about the quality of TSA considering that this was a surprise for most, then.

When you go in for a mad visionary like Suda 51, I think it kind of comes with the territory that sometimes he'll chase a mad idea and create a bad game. I'd rather he out there making wild hits and also misses, than sat pumping out middling-quality games like some kind of Ubisoft in sunglasses.

Ubisoft actually seem to making decent games now, I'd compare as the western Capcom.

Yeah? I haven't played any of their stuff in a while. I just remember the period of cookie-cutter open worlds.
