This looks exciting. The soundtrack and captures remind me a lot of the second-best game ever, but possibly due to being from the people behind Sonic (Yuji Naka and Naoto Ohshima), Nintendo Life seem to think it takes cues from Nights Into Dreams and Billy Hatcher - hardly bad things for many on this forum, I'd warrant. It's coming to Switch et al. next spring and it looks lovely.

...but Yuji Naka and Naoto Ohshima have got a poor track record as of late. Since his Sonic days, Naka's best-known works as an executive producer have been Let's Tap, Ivy The Kiwi? and Rodea The Sky Soldier, and none of those games set the world alight. Ohshima did the character designs for many of Artoon's shitey handheld games, like Yoshi's New Island and Hey Pikmin, and was producer for - brr! - FlingSmash.

Hmm was going to say Square Enix won't set up a new studio, with high profile industry people and let them put out a dud but then I remember Left Alive which on paper should have been amazing but was awful.
That you might be right Cappa but I take a charming 6/10 next year amongst the AAA stuff to flog PS5's and XSX"s.

Decidedly damp chips now. (Yoshi's New Island, cripes.) Ah well, fingers crossed it's still worth a play.

I really really like the overall design of this but gameplay wise it looks unsatisfyingly slow for a platformer, probably a harsh criticism for a reveal trailer but I have my doubts early days.

I'll be honest, it looked a bit ropey to me in that trailer. There was something about the way the characters shuffled about the screen that looked unsatisfying to control. Still, like Buska said, it's coming out the same day as MHR so I'll not be playing this.

Still looks a bit naff to me, I'm much more likely to buy something else 26th March.

You'll all get bored of Monster Hunter in the first hour. Balan Wonderland will be waiting there for you, with it's low-res graphics and disjointed gameplay.

March 26th is Monster Hunter. If you think that leaves room for other games . . . or interests of any kind . . .

Just saw this is coming to Xbox One but not physical which Square have done a few times now. I have started buying more digital of full retail price games due to game share mate e.g. I bought Cyberpunk with him getting AC Valhalla, so it's basically £25 per game
Can't see him being keen on this, and with no PlayStation then I'll be getting the Switch version and talked about this sort of, on the Pod of War recorded.
Does sort feel like a Switch game anyway but now with this and MonHan Rise on the 26th which I do have, it's going to be a decent game for gaming on Switch.
