I don't think it's really PS2 platformers, but that gen as Scullion brings up Billy Hatcher which is on GameCube.

That is my favourite gen of console maybe as well, along with liking Nights on the Saturn.

As I started this last night and it's actually rather fun from the 3 chapters I did.

The whole no jump hasn't been a issue as most costumes have had a jump or I've had one I can switch to.
