| Pure gamer fuel. I'm going to have a hot chocolate with amaretto because unlike Buska I am not a Hardcore Gamer. |

| I thought that was pretty good! On GRcade that makes me Mr. Optimist, I come over here and I'm crapping in the water. But seriously: Metroid Dread, new WarioWare, and Advance Wars made it for me. Some various other things I'm less excited for that I may pick up. I'm going to say I'd rather have a new Monkey Ball but I know how shoddy the team's more recent efforts have been so maybe I wouldn't... I feel like it was maybe one more big game, or a date for Zelda, short of really good. It didn't help that the Smash reveal at the start made me feel like, well, presumably like Pyra made the rest of you feel. Not the best start. Still: pretty good! |

| That was probably my favourite Direct yet. Life is Strange, Super Monkey Ball and Advance Wars are three of my favourite games, so to see them all getting remasters is fantastic. Especially Advance Wars! Tony Hawk as well! A new 2D Metroid was unexpected, new WarioWare looks class. A compilation of N64 Mario Party games/boards. They smashed this! |

| I agree it lacked that one big announcement/reveal to make it memorable. I’m glad Zelda was there.
Prime 4 and Bayo 3… oof.
Metroid Dread looks good |

| Prime 4 was never showing up, let's be honest. Bayo 3... God knows. At the start of the year I thought it was a dead cert.
Not sure if this means 'no big holiday game' or if Ninty are holding something back for a September Direct. Tempted to go with the latter, but I can't see it being anything astronomical. |

| Considering the big games we know they have in development that they didn't mention, this was a pretty great showing, I thought. I mean, we literally got the mythical Metroid Dread!
Even the remasters, which can feel like a bit of a copout, were great choices. Proper old school Monkey Ball and Advance Wars? Lovely! |

| Only one I was surprised we didn't see was a new Fire Emblem and not all shown for me like Warioware but glad coming. |

| They were talking about the animation in Metroid on Treehouse. It really looks great. |

| I've had Treehouse on in the background. Can't say I've been hugely impressed by the showings bar Metroid so far. Stories 2 looks like a shinier version of Stories 1 which wasn't all that, but it went on for a while. Mario Golf is Mario Golf; Mario Party is Mario Party. Hope they end on something like WarioWare or Advance Wars. |

| Metroid Dread was the show stopper for me, but there was some fun looking stuff along side it as well like: Advance wars, Warioware, Super Monkey Ball & the best part is all of those are out in the next 3-4 months. |

Fair play, they ended with both and then more Metroid. |

| Final day has happened even though another Xbox thing happening, but that seems to be interviews.
Basically last day was Nintendo Direct which very good and lot I liked about it. Then the Treehouse which was a fun watch, I don't know what it is about it as Xbox have done similar with Inside Xbox, which are shorter with more news as well but always come off as boring.
The rest of the day was pointless really and as someone that watched all of E3, really it was Nintendo and Xbox that carried the show along with the indies likes of Capcom, Namco, Gearbox, Ubisoft didn't really need to be at E3. |

I'm sure back in the day it was just the big three who had big conferences? Or maybe it's just that back in magazine times, before everyone was watching the whole thing live, those were all we heard about . . . |

| Bit of both in that regard, depending on how far back etc
Yet now in 2021 some of bigger publishers have as many things coming as the platform holders like yesterday, seen at the moment SEGA who weren't at E3 16 games in 2021 at least (some out) they on paper seemed to me have enough to do something.
Yet they didn't.
That's thing also with a Namco few other bits we know of could have been shown, sure been tad like Ubisoft's of Hi this what's coming this year.
EA have there event late July which might be very sensible. |
