| Catching up on DS games I missed a decade ago. Not sure why I skipped out on the likes of NSMB and Sonic Rush but that's probably testament to the quality of DS's games library at those times.
I'm really enjoying Sonic Rush. It has this energy to it that I thought the GBA games were missing, thanks to the speed (duh) and the techno soundtrack. The bosses are a real drag, though. Evidently done just to show off some 3D graphics, they haven't aged as well as the rest of the game. They either go on for too long, so it's a matter of perseverance rather than skill, or they are too exacting. The fourth boss was great, though. Wish they were all like that.
It's made me realise why most 2D Mario bosses can be outed in half a minute or less -- they don't break up the flow of play.
As for NSMB, I enjoyed it. Was surprised at how unique it felt despite having played NSMB Wii and NSMB U. The smaller playing area and single-player only focus seems to have changed how the levels are made. It just feels a lot tighter to play and there are some pleasingly cramped areas to traverse. |

| I don't much like Sonic Rush, to be honest, but do have a soft spot for NSMB. A fine platformer with an incredible heritage to live up to that it doesn't, quite, but provides some solid entertainment and fun secret hunting nonetheless.
As for myself, back on The Dragon Quest VII. Another town fixed, although tragedy has abounded in this particular burg. I gather I'm close to jobs being available, which will make things much more fun (I hope) - at the moment the rate at which the team are learning new spells and skills is pretty low. |

| Forum project? Masbot will also need to data-mine a release schedule every month, data-mine the gaming sections of the FT website, and alternate plurals/possessives seemingly at random. And so that this post isn't totally Mas-bashing, I'm also in favour of a Ballabot who's just this chap any time there's a grammatical error in a post, and a Jaybot who posts cmpunk.gif in response to each and every pun. |

| That sounds like someone's asking for three alt accounts to be made that will skirt the line for a few weeks before Jay and I ban them due to stress. |

| I wouldn't be surprised if Just Dance keeps selling on Wii for years to come, to be honest. A lot of households have a Wii who aren't really "gamers". |

| That's one of the reasons I don't get how as there not like us looking at preordering the next game, but they must of seen it somewhere to buy day one.
I can't see some mum walking into GAME to but it day one, I can see the supermarket effect as we have it instock and them passing it and picking it up but not enough to be 44% of the games sales.
I would also gather it didn't sale many copies, seeing 44% is for the Wii.
But I do think you're right as seen on snapchat a group having predrinks and playing Wii Sports and recently on Game Scoop they were talking about how the Wii has become a board game, you never going to play monopoly all the time but you bring it out for Christmas etc

| I think you might be on it with the Supermarket thing. That's probably where all Just Dance's sales come from, and in that context Wii would sell most. |

| I've just spent an hour and a half figuring out where the fragments I'd missed were in DQVII. The flipside is that I do know now, so I can crack on with the next, hopefully not too samey, section of the game. Slowly the addiction creeps in. |

| Now that my prolonged case of Pokéfever (or should that be 'Pokérus'? ) is over, it's time to revert to Dragon Quest VII in an almost certainly futile attempt to best it before DQVIII comes out. Apart from time, my greatest enemy will be Picross e7. It feels exactly the same as the three previous Picross e games. |

| I've been working my way through AVGN so far. It feels so much better on 3DS than it does on the PC (even when used with a controller). Hopefully this time tomorrow though I'll be playing Pokemon Moon... |

| Hope you've enjoyed your stint in Alola thus far Mr. Maze!
I've finally got my mitts on Picross 3D 2. First thoughts: it looks like it says 'PICROSSED' on the title screen, which I thought was clever. More soon. |

| I am keen to hear more about 3D 2: I can't find it in any of the local GAME stores, though. As for myself, I've changed lanes and am trying to race through Picross e7 before year's end, despite having reached my favourite bit in any DQ game (where you can first change jobs ). I'm doing the Mega Picross puzzles first because a), I hate 'em and want to finish the game enjoying it, and b), I want a smooth finish to the game. I'm getting to be alright at Picross now. |

| Well I won't say that you'll have to forget all your Picross skills from e7 when you move to 3D 2, but I did find that I had to substantially change my thinking. I've completed 12 or so proper 'books' (i.e. puzzle sets) now, and am finding the blue and orange blocks swimming before my eyes when I try to sleep. It's fun, so it is, but it's also massively addictive. And if you use the bomb, rather than chiselling away the 0 rows manually like a REAL MAN, you're filthy casual scum. Fact. |

| Oh, they didn't. Might get my goal of beating Picross e7 today - just the 45 ordinary Picrosses to go. |

| It does seem to be lacking in stores as expected, I've held off buying so far as I have Pokemon but think it might be time to take the plunge before it's too late. |

| After getting good sessions in with the boys after the last couple of Monster Mash recordings, I've been playing loads of Monster Hunter Generations. Ticking off non-essential quests I hadn't done yet and getting myself caught up in upgrade cycles. - Solve My Maze wrote:
