| The monsters' rendering is the best bit of the game. No harm in giving it a go, putting a toe in the water as it were... but I'd recommend you trying some of the others first. My tuppence. |

| I like both and thought it was a pile of wank, so I’d definitely recommend anything else. I don’t think you’d get too much out of Fantasy Life, it’s nice enough but kinda lacks substance. Ever Oasis is for sure the way to go |

| I'll love it then Well I've not bought Ever Oasis or Fantasy Life but have Fire Emblem Echoes as only £15 new. So updates for that coming in the playing on 3DS and I think on Wii/U it be Tokyo Mirage Sessions which hopefully gets some chat going. Basically though a lot of Nintendo and seems RPG stuff for me to play on these older Nintendo systems, who needs a Switch. |

I liked the initial idea of it but I never really played it enough to form a proper opinion, it being on 3ds only didn't help either. |

Wii This is the console out of them I've got the most unplayed due to what few have said above, anyway I'm looking at these from what I own
Another Code: R Disaster: Day of Crisis Metroid: Other M, I still feel I will like this Super Mario Galaxy or 2, I guess play the SMG first Super Paper Mario Trauma Center: Second Opinion Wario Land: The Shake Dimension Zack & Wiki
These are all on my list to play this year (minus the Galaxies as I played them recently). I'm a few hours into Skyward Sword but will definitely try and resurrect the early Wii discussion that I set up alongside NGamer chat. Wii games still seem to be relatively cheap, although I really want Metroid Prime Trilogy, but unlike the fella from Resi 4, I hope NOT to buy it at a high price. |

| I've actually not played most of those games. Zack & Wiki off that list is the one that feels like a big missed opportunity. - The_Jaster wrote:

| Yep even Fire Emblem on Wii is cheap compared to the GameCube and only the expensive game I think I would buy on Wii over £20.
I still might give MHS a bash, because me and OR do have a few game tastes in common cough SotC cough just it has gone lower down on likely to play list. |

| To be fair my love for Monster Hunter did really help - but I stand by it being very good anyway |

| The real question is how much do you like Rock Paper Scissors? I tend to find if I see a version of it in a game (especially as its core bloody mechanic) I bounce right off. |

| I liked what I played of MHS but they need to sort out a Switch version.
BTW, have I mentioned how much kids in Japan absolutely love RPS? I don't get it . . . |

| That's all because of Alex Kidd in Miracle World, right? Glad I could help tidy up that definitely correct cultural assumption. |

| The battling was IMO one of the best bits of MHS. It was mostly rock paper scissors, but so's Pokémon on a grander scale.
That's not saying the battling was anywhere near as good as Pokémon, mind. |

| I've just completed the first dungeon in Skyward Sword (Skyview). The boss battle with Ghirahim was really fun and made excellent use of the Wiimote although I did find myself swinging the remote wildly once I'd got that first strike in. I'm not so keen on the constant need to balance on ropes and vine-swinging sections, but the flying bug thing that evokes memories of Perfect Dark's guided rockets, is a pleasant surprise.
I wasn't keen on the bloated start with the flying turkeys and fetch quest ("find this Totoro knock-off", then "Totoro knock-off won't speak until you find these three rejected Pokemon"). I wasted hours on this as I'm often useless in Zelda overworlds (I always manage to overlook something, look it up online, and kick myself). The dungeons though, are what I'm here for, and the first one is simple enough. Looking forward to seeing more.

| Im a big fan of overworld stuff in Zeldas - maybe thats why BotW clicked so hard for me? - but im glad youre into the parts youre enjoying.
My pal at work is replaying Xenoblade Chronicles at the moment and its made me excited for the remake. Maybe Ill give 2 a third try before then . . .

| I've given up hoping for that. I think the overworld stuff is broadly weaker in SS, from a perspective of the divided dungeon-like surface world and the largely empty and rather dull sky. Skyloft itself is a great little town, though. |

| Skyward Sword doesn't have an overworld, it has a hub town and levels. |

| I... er... this is a bit of a revelation. Although that does make the office I work in a dungeon automatically. |

| I disagree - you're pretty much always confined by roads, walls and fences. You can't go in the vast majority of buildings. Travel is mostly fast travel between set locations (but with really long load times). |

| It's a matter of perspective. Stepping out of my apartment, I've stepped outside and walked many kilometres in each possile direction until I've encountered either a river or a mountain, then hiked at that location. I think real life can be very open world. |
