Yoshi's New Island

That's good! Recent experiences with Nintendo in general have given me a harsher perspective concerning defaecating on other people's fun.

I still want Yarn Yoshi more though.

Pre-order from GAME and you get a Yoshi Egg case thing.

Can't wait for this, and that is why I preorder GAME for there silly bonus items.

Just seen fronkhead queuing outside GAME for this. Wants to be the first in the UK to get it, natch.

I know it looks like dogshite, but I'm actually sort of looking forward to this. Not as much as Triple Deluxe or Tropical Freeze, but Yoshi has a decent track record for being in alright games. Should be decent.

Oh goodness. I'd forgotten about that.  To be fair, I'm confident that this will be better than YUG by default.

Unless they bring an adventure with pointer-controlled egg-aiming to the Wii U, which I've always thought would be pretty cool.

This. I'm expecting it to be one of those games you forget everything about seconds after powering down the console.

Give me Kirby Triple Deluxe*!

*And a better Western title.

Honestly Kirby is like that. I've only done a few levels in world 1 and keep forgetting about it

Hm. I'm hoping that, through the vision of Takashi Tezuka's super-happy smiling face, that this will be as good as it could be.

Anyway, this is coming out this week: any takers? I'm quite curious to know if it's as good (i.e. bad) as it looks, especially because I don't have much to buy for the next two months outside the eShop, and very little all March.

This is the first game that Audrey Drake (formerly of IGN's Nintendo section) helped localise.

I'm still expecting this to be utterly forgettable, and the fact that the reviews embargo is still in place doesn't paint a pretty picture...

I'd forgotten about PLvAA, although I'm still a little worried about it. Schedule's not looking quite so bleak now.

Mine has been dispatched today, so if it turns up in the next few days I'll let you know what it's like. But I might be kinda biased to it as I'm a big yoshi island fan.

Ohh and Balla you are right it's rather dry month coming up on the Nintendo front till may.

Well there's the Ace trilogy next month but maybe that's just me and an excuse to play them again

I've played them too recently, great though they are. They don't have a lot of replay value either.

Mas, it's rather better if you look at eShop releases. The two SKs, Shovel Knight and Scram Kitty, are the big ones that stand out, and I think there are others. It's the Vita all over again.

Yeah the VITA nearly had all it's game's for the year lol. I forgot about ace attorney trilogy but that's a import, I'm yet to look at them for April.

I've still not seen that much that excites me from the eShop side that really floats my boat but hey something might surprise me.

This game really is looking dreadful, the fact that Nintendo *still* haven't come up with any more reasons to entice us to give it a look that aren't GIANT EGGS! is telling, especially this close to launch.

And why is the soundtrack so sedate? I was watching footage for an athletic level and there was no oomph to it. I'm surprised Yoshi isn't half asleep in this game.

Agreed on 3DS's lineup, it just hasn't been great this year outside of Japan. My handheld gaming time is now almost exclusively served by Vita games: Danganronpa, Ys, TxK and Sorcery Saga.

To be fair, it had a pretty astonishing previous year. Cut the poor handheld some slack!
