| It's getting close: last week's Nintendo Direct confirmed that the Wii U Virtual Console is launching worldwide the day after the Spring Wii U System Update, which is on the way this week.
While it's true that we've likely seen all of the Wii U VC's bells and whistles already (thanks to the 30p Anniversary campaign), that doesn't mean that we're not promised some great games. The trailer broadcast during North America's Nintendo Direct showed games like Super Mario World, Mega Man and Kirby Super Star, amongst others. They're safe bets. What else would you like to see?
~
My SNES broke last month. Gutted. I'm not ecstatic about the prices they sell for online, so I'm considering selling the cartridges and just re-buying a select few of them digitally. If Super Mario Kart comes out this week, I'm having that. I wouldn't say no to Yoshi's Island, Pilotwings or Star Fox either, natch.

| What I'd love to see, and I doubt we'll get at any point, is the whole of the Wii's Virtual Console library shifted over on to Wii U's eShop. Be great to have that library to choose from.
As for launch, I dunno really. Would love to see Rock n' Roll Racing, Micro Machines, and Road Rash (we'll still be getting games from non-Nintendo consoles, right?) turn-up at some point. No idea if any of the above could happen, damn licensing etc etc. |

| I'm looking forward to (finally!) being able to experience Super Metroid in almost-portable form. And I can't be the only one still doing a little happy dance about Earthbound coming to the west, right?
I'm intrigued to know how they got around the alleged issue of the game using sound samples from extremely famous artists' work. |

Game can only be played on mute. |

Absolutely outstanding news. One step closer to that official Mother 3 translation... |

| There's no reason not to have the current Wii Virtual Console selection available for Wii U - maybe not at launch, the choice would be overwhelming! Anyway, to answer the question, all the Super FX chip games would be good, just to show that the Wii U VC is different. I hope Earthbound is available on day one but I doubt it will be. Pilotwings 64 could do with a release, too. |

I'd buy this. Not many other games appear to my new-game-focused mind, apart from previously non-PAL releases. |

I didn't see Earthbound in the little showreel they had for launch, but they did say that the selection shown was tentative anyway. |

| It's mostly N64 games I'd be interested in. There were so few released on the Wii and the only game I had much time for was Paper Mario. Are there no other great games on the platform? |

| I'd like to see Pilotwings 64 made available at some point, it was a game that I let pass me by.
My only issue with Nintendo 64 games being on Virtual Console is that 3D ones will have aged badly visually. |

Actual serious answer: the NES Batman game. |

| Still the best wrestling game of all time. Highly doubt WWE would give out the licensing for it though, although I wish they would. |

| Guess that since the death of THQ, chances of getting any old WWF games have gotten slimmer. |

| @Jay: out of the wwf/e games it is but for me since I got to play a fire pro wrestling game properly in the last few years this out does it in everyway.
So with that said if Nintendo still plan do that Japan VC promo thing for wii U then I'd love to see Super fire pro wrestling X.
Some guys review so ye can see what I'm on about: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=10-7kXfJFuk |

| I just want Majora's Mask. I already downloaded it on Wii VC but haven't started it yet. I'd love to have gamepad play and pro controller support when I start.
I just realised how lame my dreams are... |

| I think that' pretty fair, I think I'd be tepted to gie it one last chance not to be terrible if I could play it on the gamepad. Though I'd probably just get fed up of the start again. |

That'd be truly ace, though I have a feeling Nintendo are wary of emulating peripherals or cartridge add-ons (so WarioWare Twisted's mercury motion control sensor and its rumble functionality, then), as demonstrated by the lack of controller pak and rumble pak emulation on Wii virtual console (thus denying us of 90% or so of N64 titles, wah!). Which has reminded me, I'd love to see a far wider selection of third party N64 games this time around. Please, Nintendo, find some way to emulate the Memory Pak! |

| Nothing that anybody asked for is part of the launch line-up:
http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2013/0 ... s_revealed
Wii U's Virtual Console is launching with eight games, four of with have been available at 30p at some point since January, and versions of three of the four others have been available for free for 3DS owners in 2011. Good games, no question, but I can see a lot of people asking why there isn't more. It'll come, of course. In the meantime...Super Mario World! |

| Link fail! Here's a CVG one (insert accuracy disclaimer here): http://www.computerandvideogames.com/402765/us-wii-u-virtual-console-launch-lineup-confirmed/. Nothing for me there either, sadly, and no N64 games at all. I'm hoping for GC titles now, with in-console save functionality, natch. (Hanabi Festival Tetra's Trackers with multi-pad/3DS support please!) |
