| Happy days! I saw him take the second set and then my girlfriend asked to switch over because she didn't want to jinx it. By that point it seemed clear that, whilst it was close, Murray was going to take it. I am delighted for the chap. Someone retweeted what I assume was his first tweet since winning, which was "Can't believe what just happened!!!!!!!". Very sweet. |

| I shall commit treason and say I wanted Djokovic to win. Either way that last set was Tennis at its best. A gladiatorial battle between two peers, the two best players in the world, where either could have won. Kudos to Murray for overcoming the mental hurdle that winning Wimbledon would have caused. I think it's fair to say that the new major rivalry of number 1 and 2 is Murray and Djokovic as well, Nadal just gets injured too much and Federrer is fading at last.
That last set was a nail biter, I could just feel Djokovic being on the edge of a comeback, and I look forward to what is probably an inevitable rematch in the US Open. |

| I did feel at times like had Murray lost that set, he'd have gone into freefall. But he didn't. |

| Honestly I think the match would have been entirely reversed if Murray had even just lost that game as I suspect even losing the game would have upset his entire mental game. That whole set, but the last few games in particular, was edge of the seat stuff. Woops, double post, I forgot I posted in here last yesterday. Ashes start today, we may have had a bad year and the choices being made right now may be leaving me scratching my head, but count us out at your own peril England! |

| What did Microsoft do to warrant that tagline? I've been out of the loop when it comes to gaming news for ages, I take it they've shot themselves in the chest again? |

Don't worry we can always organise one by post... And in my lovely little nation of barbarians in bowler hats: We had some orange people marching in a completely peaceful and unhindered way yesterday. Except of course in Belfast where there was the usual arguments over planning parade routes followed by the inevitable riot and an MP was knocked unconscious by a brick or something. The police really deserve a pay raise in that area. And tasers... |

"when Cregan managed to get 15,000 signatures for a petition to save the HMV branch, he realised that there was a gap in the market if HMV were to be shut down permanently, and he came up with his replacement store HVM"
"However, with HMV still trading in the UK after being rescued by specialist restructuring firm Hilco, the company sent a letter to Cregan suggesting that his store's name would cause confusion"
"Cregan's solution was simple: "We just turned the sign upside-down; now it's called WAH."" |

| Wow. I remember reading a Spider-Man comic about twelve years ago in which Spidey said the guys robbing the bank were old hat. I hope he said whatever the French for "Stick 'em up!" is. |

| Piece of Australian news, the next election has finally been called! Rudd vs Abbott on September 7th, what the last election should have been really. Hopefully Rudd wins this and saves us from the slash and burn government I have long believed Abbott will lead, I have nothing against the man himself but his constant trying to play our economy as if it's on the rocks (he even compared us to Greece once for crying out loud, us, one of the few developed nations to survive the gfc with no recession and a AAA credit rating) convinces me he's trying to make the Australian public believe we need to cut everything in sight.
Anyhow, opinion one way or another this will all be over in 34 days time. Finally. |
