| That's some good work there Athers - that was just the job.
I love Fennec foxes - ever since there were some at Woburn when I was a kid. I do like that, across pretty much the whole spectrum of quadruped mammals, baby animals "skip" alternating between their two front and two back feet. |

| Lambs are sweet when they do that, then they grow up and lose all their playfulness. It always makes me sad watching a lamb become a sheep. |

| I don't know if you've heard, but there's a by-election where I live today. Just between us, I've heard - we've had more campaign flyers and junk than I've ever experienced. The narrative goes that UKIP have a chance of claiming a seat that's been Labour since 1950. This remains to be seen. |

| I'm in Staines. I've called and e-mailed and texted my family but they're not answering/at home/whatever. Permission to be really quite scared, probably unnecessarily but you never know, in here with you chaps for a while?
Father has texted me, they're miles away from the carnage. Thank God.

| That's good to hear, and I'd probably react with the same initial anxiety!
There should be one key narrative out of today's attack: The Police did an outstanding, world class job. They dealt with one of the most difficult attacks to police, using a vehicle as a weapon, did an excellent job as the event occurred and had counter terrorist reinforcements at the scene within minutes. What happened was unequivocally shit. But it would have been a whole lot worse without the job those people did today. |

| Muss is right, and I feel that praise for our services is something we should hear/see much more often. Relieved that no-one in your family was hurt, Balla, whilst feeling hollow for the people who have been affected. |

| Saw it on Facebook and thought it was Fake News, till I saw it being the talk of Twitter.
It will be interesting how it will go with only 2 months between now and then, which could be worse as seen someone say Australia had a election after just 3 weeks of calling to have one.
From the new piece you link to Zero, what May is saying seems to make sense and both Corbyn & Farron seem to want it as well. |

| It's a very clever political move on May's part. It comes at a time when neither opposition party seems to be actually offering opposition, and by holding it now (and by sweeping the decks with the left) she'll look like she has a massive mandate for a Brexit as hard as, to quote Zero, an unemployed porn star. |

| It seems a bit hypocritical that May said the reason a Scottish Independence Referendum couldn't go ahead just now was to avoid further uncertainty in these uncertain times... and then she goes and calls a snap General Election. I know the reason for doing so is to strengthen her position to go ahead with Brexit, but it still made me roll my eyes thinking about it. |
