I've had folk ask me if I'm Irish before.........perhaps I wear green too often *shrugs* On Topic: shame that the demo didn't allow us to customise the gamepad screen to our liking which will be possible in the final release. (Unless I missed the option some where) |

| I've only had a go of the 3DS demo at the moment and went for a wander around with no idea what I was meant to do except kill some monster |

| The demo really just shows one aspect of MH, its really about building up your character to gain better weapons & armour, most hunts have multiple objectives as well & get harder as you progress through the game.
Also as I've said before this game shines brightest when played Online with others, so to dismiss it based on the demo would be unfair. |

| Willing to give the 3DS demo a punt. I could see the appeal of the Wii version, but that sort of a game on a home console was a bit of a no-no for me. |

| Fair enough, like I've said elsewhere on the forum this game does work well on a handheld, just make sure you's pick up a CPP if you don't already have one. |

| I'm probably getting this on Wii U, unless I have a bunch of people nearby who want to play this in local multiplayer. Monster Hunter's always (to me) been a social multiplayer experience, and playing it in single player just isn't quite as good.

| Only played the demo a couple of times, but I can see this taking up a fair bit of my time over the next few months. Looks lovely too. |

| Good news! There will be a patch to make MH3U servers cross-region & the same update will allow gamepad Only play, also free regular DLC from day one! http://www.capcom-unity.com/dubindoh/blog/2013/02/28/monster-hunter-3-ultimate-software-update-adds-cross-region-online-and-off-tv-play EDIT: I was hoping we will be given the option to play in whatever region we prefer but with this following quote it doesn't seem likely. - Quote :
- Cross-Region Servers: Said update will come post-launch (sometime in April) and it will merge both North American and European servers into one big network for all western hunters out there.

| What weapons will everyone be using? I'm thinking of using the Switch Axe as long as nobody minds? it has a habbit of knocking people over I can use other weapons if that annoys anyone though |

| My favorite weapons are the Sword and Shield as well as the great-sword. My least favorite is the long-sword, how many times i got knocked over by a team mate using its special attack on Tri... First ill have to buy a Wiiu |

Sending people flying into the air is fun as long doesn't lead to failing the quest, as for what weapons I'll use it'll mainly be Gunlance/lance & hammer/Hunting Horn. |

| I'm not gonna have a main weapon, I'm pretty well versed in Hammer and Longsword if I need to serious up, but there's so many weapon types I don't wanna miss any. Well maybe the ranged weapons, they seem a bit naff. |

That is a good way to go about things as you can find certain weapons just don't feel right against certain monsters, for example as much as I like the lance I hardly use it against the barioth due to its speed. |

| Sword and Shield will be one of my main weapons. I like Hammer and Greatsword too. I think i'll try and have a few different weapons though and use whatever is best against the monster i'm fighting. |

| I said I won't go for a ranged weapon but I quite liked the Bow when I tried that out, will have to try a few different weapons first. |

| First off the bad news, whoever creates the online lobby becomes the host so if they quit or get disconnected everyone gets booted back to the single player village.
This will be really annoying if it happens mid quest, I only hope the online is more stable than what Tri was at times.
Secondly here's a review from a first time MH player:

To add to what Jaster mentioned, I don't think it's a great demo. It throws players in at the deep end, explaining nary a game mechanic. Great if you've played Monster Hunter before but they should have added some of the training levels at D.Island in - those were the most fun I had playing Tri in single player. |
