| Yeah, The Cappuccino Kid is a bit long, isn't it? I'll stick with it, but it's open season with the nicknames you've got for me. Fire away with Cap, fire away with whatever else anyone else has got. |

| I'm very interested in this but like many I'm waiting on reviews. I was pretty disappointed with Generations. |

| I had a bash at the Windy Hills level of the Play Expo demo yesterday. Once I worked out the controls, things went well - it's bright, cheerful and good fun. I didn't get chance to do much exploration because of the pressure of the queue but I reckon exploration will yield rewards. Curiously, much more Super Mario Galaxy-esque than Super Mario 3D World, too... |

| Have they cracked the feel of Sonic's double jump this time, Zero? |

| I can understand that, particularly if you were playing some of the huge, sprawling 3D bits in Windy Valley*.

| If Lost World turns out to be a genuinely bad game, I'll eat my hat. I have a good selection of hats; just don't make me eat the fez. It'll be stringy. |

| This is one of those games I'll be determined to like (do you ever get that?), but besides that I trust the judgement of you chaps here. Fronky was singing the game's praises over on The Twitter today. |

| I will be getting even if it get's so-so reviews as looking at the rest of Oct and Early Nov (before PS4 launch) there's nothing really else to pick up apart from batman. |

| This arrived today, and here's what I think after spending three hours with the thing. I've no idea where the time went. I'll paste here the thoughts I've just posted to a very barren GameFAQs board:
"It's pretty, very pretty indeed. Classic SEGA blue skies. The soundtrack doesn't pop in the usual way a Sonic soundtrack does, but it's upbeat and in-keeping with the game's lighthearted vibe.
Sonic controls like a dream in 3D. I haven't managed to successfully parkour in 3D between two walls yet, but I think that's just lack of practice. Sonic turns on a dime, and I spent a minute or two just running round in circles/figure of eights for the heck of it. There are loads of nooks, crannies and alternate routes to sniff out, and an inquisitive nature is rewarded in the open-ended 3D stages.
Now for the less positive:
Sonic's physics in 2D mode are heavy and he has little momentum. I can't compare this to Generations because I haven't played it, but think Colours with a much less floaty jump. Sonic 1/2/3 this ain't.
The bosses I've encountered so far can be beaten by smashing the GamePad into your face with your eyes closed. They're stupidly easy.
Some of the Wisps are a bit guff to control. Not sure how much using other control schemes (if that's possible) alleviates this problem, but the problem is there. Laser Wisp is less finnicky than its Colours counterpart, however.
In short, this is a great effort thus far. I don't think it'll go down in history as a speed-runner's dream, but it's great to see another Wii U exclusive with a clear amount of thought and care put into it."

In short, I can't wait to crack back on with this tomorrow night. |

| That's real bad scores, I was expecting high 6s low 7s but now with 5s nearly across the board spending £20 cash on it seems a lot. Might wait for a price drop which could come quite soon. |

| A friend of mine who is by his own admission a "sonic fanboy" was the last person I'd expect to speak less-than-passionately about any sonic games but it seems, for him at least, this game was quite a let down. He's still getting the 3DS one, mind... As for myself if this gets a substantial price drop it *may* be on the Christmas list, but that seems unlikely with those less than flattering scores. Poor sonic. |

| Having checked out the review scores on my way to the shop, I changed my mind on Sonic and have bought Wind Waker HD instead. Sorry, Blue Blur - a NintendoLife 7 out of 10 is like a 50% score elsewhere. |

| Some tough reviews there. Unnecessarily tough, if you ask me. Some proper 'toys out of the pram' stuff there. It's worth a shot. I can see a lot of people being pissed off because it controls very differently than all the Sonic games have since Adventure in 1999 - they're going from the known to the unknown and can't hack it.
Approach it with an open mind and I think you'll like it. |

| Yep. Very mixed reviews. I think the problem is that it plays more like Mario Galaxy than Sonic and lacks the traditional "Gotta go Fast" mechanic. My twitter timeline is either "This is one of the best Sonic games I've ever played. I normally hate it." or "Damn you SEGA! You've ruined the legacy!" I'm not a big Sonic fan so I'm actually enjoying it. It does have its flaws though. To think some people thought this would be a better platformer than 3D World.
