Looks like they're being a bit quirky with the Saturday tickets- we'll have to co-ordinate if we're going that day.

EDIT: Also I'm on night shift Fri and Sat, so I'd have to book at least two days off, meaning I need to know what's going on well ahead of time.

I'd be up for HJ again this year. Perhaps even a trip elsewhere in London on the same day if the same thing happens as last year where we exhaust everything the show has to offer by the early afternoon?

HJ on Saturday seems to have a compulsory pause in the middle. Sunday looks normal. Which day are people up for, then? Either should be fine for me.

Either's fine for me too, though I guess travel-wise Saturday's probably a better bet, since London buses are more frequent and all that.

Ladies and gentlemen, I have something to confess. I am a back-stabbing psychopath. Don't give me those looks. Like you didn't all know it from the moment of admission that I cheated my way through F0GX.

I have booked my ticket for Sunday. Because a friend - okay, somebody I met once, in a bar - was going that day as well, and no conclusion was reached on this thread. I can only apologise, but how can you trust my apology? You can't. And I'll have to live with that.

So, if anyone wants to come along on Sunday, I'll be there too. But I'll understand if you'd rather see me rot in hell.

This is oddly amusing: I was reading this thread this morning wondering "should I bump it? Should I message beemoh asking to respond?" but it seems a decision has been made: Sunday it is. If I can't make Sunday I'll let you all know in advance, but I'm fine with this.

If I can book the time off 'm up for Sunday.

Two things:

1) What is hyper Japan? Is it good? Can I still get a ticket? Should I come?

2) Didn't we used to have an AVGN thread? Anyway, the film finally has a date and is trying US theatres. It's selling like hot cakes and obviously getting to the states might be a bit of a challenge (although I'm certainly looking into it) but if it does make its way to London it would make for a solid gnamer event.

I could be up for a GNamer film night, if held reasonably down south.

Sunday 27th July is the day before my Mum's 60th birthday. No family events are yet scheduled for that day but I will have to hang fire for a bit nonetheless.

I can't make Hyper Japan at all, sadly, there's no holidays available that weekend.

I'll look into train times etc, try and one-day hj for the Sunday. It's usually quite easy for me to arrange a Sunday off.

The person I'm going to HJ with says she prefers the Vita to Nintendo. I may have to reconsider going with her.

Did you reply with "what's a Vita?"...or were you being too polite at the time?

I think I replied with "Oh dear", or something along those lines. But she may not be coming anyway, due to financial difficulties.

My prediction is it's because Vita's the go-to place for JRPGs and Japanese localisations. Maybe. I can understand why people may prefer it, but at least she didn't bash the 3DS. I really don't understand the 3DS hatred from some Vita owners, but then again they don't understand in the first place.

She never said what Nintendo she meant the Pokemon Mini right.

I do like the VITA myself for the reason Fronk said but apart from that the 3DS is the place to be handheld gaming.
