I watched a video of some gameplay, but I had no idea what was going on, so I can't comment. Wikipedia doesn't help by labelling it as a "Action-adventure game/Platform game/Puzzle game", but Gamespot has it as a "2D Platformer", so there's that.

Anyone who's played it like to chime in?

Platformer to me. I think the emphasis is on the platforming, the puzzling is important but it's just so you can continue to do the platforming. The focus is getting from left to right and jumping along the way.

I'd agree!  The puzzling's a lesser element of gameplay to me than the platforming.

Stu gets his two people disagreeing, on cue.

Platformer it is then, unless someone else can make a case for it being a puzzler?

Are DSiWare games up for votes, as WiiWare games were for the Wii thread? I've only got four, you understand, but I could well vote for at least two of them...

Ah, beaten to the punch. Yeah, Ghost Trick people, puzzle game or not?

Oooooooh, difficult one. Puzzles definitely form the meat of the gameplay, and there's more gameplay than Hotel Dusk, say, but it's story-focussed. Ach. Leaning towards puzzle (in which case my vote would get a second revision), but willing to defer the decision to someone else.

Wikipedia has it as adventure/puzzle, Gamespot has it as adventure...

Aye, even though it has a very large story driven element to it the actual game part is puzzle driven, so I'd say puzzle unless anyone else strongly disagrees.
