| This is exciting stuff and you're doing great work mas, but I feel I need to repeat something I said when we started the GNAMER site: we are not, nor will we ever be, a big, mainstream gaming site.
There is no point in trying to compete like that or be overly "professional". We have to write with the spirit of GNamer, from our hearts. For example, I'm never going to start giving scores, and I'll never quit "the bantz".
Sorry if this is coming across like having a go, like I said at the top this is all really exciting and I'm very on board, just don't lose sight of who we are and why we're doing this. Even if we are concerned about lots of people reading our site, that's much more likely if we're putting something out that's honest and a bit different. |

| out of for Drunka's post. I know at least one other person, apart from us, who was worried that the scale of this project was taking us from "friendly funny site" to "trying to be a serious news site", which is not what we're striving for. That said, if Drunka wants to get himself sloshed and do a review of a game while intoxicated, I'd be up for that! |

| I honestly wouldn't mind if people wanted to do some more srs reviews, those of us that don't want to do that can just abstain surely? I mean I don't see myself doing any reviews anyway because I can't write, so surely those that don't want to write serious can just not right serious? |

| I don't think that we'll lose the original vision of the site whatsoever - there was always going to be differing writing styles on display, with more serious-in-tone reviews meshing with light-hearted impressions and whatnot. If we can get codes/copies of games for writing about them, then all the better, surely. I honestly would love to write some impressions/reviews from the codes and copies we're sent, be able to link someone to the site and say "hey, check out what I've written, along with everyone else's stuff!" But, if there's a large group of people here who'd rather we kept that sort of material away from the site and just have editorials and whatnot up there (I've got a Mother series retrospective planned out, to give an example) then I'll be sad, but I'd understand. I've got a personal blog where that more "serious" material could go, and I'll contribute in a different way. I hope I've articulated myself well enough there - that was really just a mess of thoughts. |

| Oh yeah, I'm not saying we shouldn't do serious reviews at all; when I write a review I am giving my honest impressions of the game. |

| There's obviously an audience for this sort of thing, and if people want to write serious, then go ahead! |

| I guess all I'm saying is this; nobody should be trying to impose any rules on what anyone else writes and we shouldn't treat the site like a business. I think that's fair. |

| I wasn't or going to enforce any rules on anyone and Drunka your reviews and normally good it's just if let's say were given a xbox one copy of borderlands handsome collection (unlikely), you review it and I pass it on to 2k and it's got a 10/10 well they'll be rather pleased about that I would guess but isn't really the real score though is it but your Bioshock reviews you did put no score which is fine.
On the whole thing like I said in the thread I made about all this, Is that I know were not going to be the next IGN or even Nintendo Life but if we can do what Jay has put surely is great.
And why I've mainly stuck to indies as I feel we can help them and vice-versa also without losing who we are, it be great to get game from Nintendo & Sony but we might lose sight then. |

| Good good, as long as we're all on the same page. What Jay said is exactly what I want and is pretty much why I made the site. In fact, we should make a secret blood oath to Retweet anything anyone else writes for the site As for the 10/10 thing, that's just a forum gag. I don't like review scores and, as I'm sure you've all noticed, I don't like people telling me not to do things (I'm sure I needn't remind you of the star-wars-down-the-pants incident). |

I do most sincerely hope that, whatever happens, Drunka will be allowed to keep giving 10/10s to everything. Including Frenchy Bird. |

| I think he will be reviewing it and rather interested what he makes of it, seeing it's a flappy bird clone. But it's a free game which you think will need little play time unlike Jay's game which he will be playing. |

| Morning statsdump: last month featured the highest number of new forumites joining of the last twelve months (4, previous best 3), the highest number of new topics of the last twelve months (43, previous best 28), and the highest number of posts we've ever had in a month! Got to thank Stu for finally making his way back, and Jay too, natch. You two have, I'm sure, really made the difference. Also very nice to see some excellent new posters in our ranks! |

| That's really great to hear. The forum really has been buzzing with debate as well as the bantz lately. Good stuff! |

And no, the tagline's not it. Even though that's very nice too. |

| So everyone gintendo.co.uk will now take you to gintendo where you can checkout reviews for such classic like Blue Estate and gnamer.co.uk will now take you to the forum if you search for these / type in your web browser.
Much easier for your friends to remember then messedup-cables etc |
