I forgot to add a goodbye to the Twitter thread - done now. Selfishly, I'm going to miss the GNamer Videos Games videos; more of YouTube needs to be narrated by a Thoroughly Pleasant Chap.

Also I fear I'm the oldest now - assuming Cappa's not actually that old

Y'all may have noticed a couple of new members. They're most likely spambots. We're giving them the benefit of the doubt (apart from the 'chap' who tried to sign up today under the name 'lexmarkPrinterhelp' - come on, at least put some effort in), but if you see any spam let me or Jay know.

Funnily enough, I've just noticed that all my GNamer emails about these potential spambot accounts signing up having been going into my spam folder in my email.

Chrome users - can anybody access the Shenmue III thread in Nontendo? I keep getting a dangerous website message due to a link to raptr or something along those lines.

I'm using Firefox and can use it fine and I can't see any links out of the ordinary and my post today in that thread was just saying about the date for Shenmue I & II nothing else.

Hm. Are there any links to raptr being posted there by yourself you can edit out? If not, I'll see if Balla can access it to remove the offending link.

I've not posted any links to anything for ages and gone back through the thread and can't find any raptr ones, all seem to be YouTube or KickStarter.

Is it just me or is the mobile forum much better now? It’s much simpler, but there are no inter-post adverts. Definitely works better than trying to go on the main site on my ‘phone, which is frankly terrible. I presume that’s not an admin.-only privilege?

Still can’t quote posts though. 😒

I tend to only use the forum on my laptop anyway, so I'm on desktop mode most of the time. That could be a by-product of having the topic.it app, perhaps?

Howdy folks. We've got the ball rolling on a bit of a forum refresh heading your way soon - nothing major, mostly background stuff - but one thing you guys might have noticed is that there shouldn't be any ads populating now when you're logged in. I know most of you will be using an adblocker anyway, but that should hopefully help on mobile. Let me know if it's working better on mobile now - I don't use the mobile site myself at all.

You'll still see ads when you're logged out though, so it's all the more reason to sign in and get posting.

You actually do get a bit more detail on the mobile site's front page now! The posting mode's still bobbins though. Will try the app. at some point.

I suppose the posting being a bit limited is a necessary evil for the site to work on mobile. Keep us posted though!

Okay, the app. version works alright but doesnt seem to have the posting options (bold, italic, img tags), and square brackets/slashes are a pain on mobile. So there doesnt seem to be a good mobile solution, unless theres a way for admins. to add that functionality that Ive missed?

Edit: And it seems to have removed all my apostrophes. 🤔

Not as far as I know. Hm. Ah well, hopefully the site being ad-free is a boost for some, at least.
