| At first, when I went onto my Facebook feed and saw the astonished statuses (generally just lines of dumbfoundedness without any context), I didn't know what was going on. Then I remembered that there was a football thingy happening, and flicked over to the BBC to see the score.
What do you think of your chances, Mas? |

| Actually want Germany to win the world cup as £60 is nicer than a GAME voucher. |

| Well that entirely defeats the point of the sweepstake. |

| I've got three sweepstakes going, also got Holland. And nice for one of our members gets a voucher. |

| I'm so glad I'm watching this game. It's hilarious, and the names of all the German goal scorers provide incredible pun potential. It's also proving to be an excellent first thing to watch on my new tv. |

| Get in there! Brazil absolutely destroyed and they deserve it. Never seen a team perform so badly at the highest level, its a match that will live on forever in memory. Could have easily been double figures. Its nice to see the naivete of fans thinking Brazil having a good team smashed before my eyes . |

| Brazil has good athletes, but Germany is just an efficient, slick football machine. Look at their reaction to conceding one goal; these are men built to win. |

| It just goes to show that it all evens itself out eventually. Bad officiating in Croatian and Colombian matches (In particular) provided cover for Brazil. No place to hide tonight though.
Neymar must be counting his blessings that he was injured and escaped that match.
I really hope its a Germany v Netherlands final! |

| An amazing capitulation. On the other hand, few teams have stood out like Germany. Most other countries seem to be built around one amazing player carrying the rest through. Both Brazil and Uruguay were found out when that person was unable to play - though none as spectacularly as Brazil. It was surreal. |

Good news club football starts soon, Celtic are playing a champions league game on the 15th. |

| I guess Van Gaal doesn't look like such a genius now. Holland didn't attack enough and they were left in a penalty shootout with a keeper that has never saved a penalty in his career. Its a shame because Cillesen played well in the match, surely Krul should have been 1st choice though. |

| Swapping Krul in worked so well last time, I really don't understand why they didn't do it again. It's a shame we're not getting the Holland/ Germany final I've been predicting since the start but the game we're getting should at least be a good'n. My money's on Germany all the way though. That's how I imagine the Borg would play if they ever took up football. |

| Today is the 3rd place game which know really cares about, I guess Brazil can restore some pride and Holland will be looking at it for better world ranking for easier grouping etc in the future.
Who does everyone think has been the Player of the Tournament, myself I think Thomas Müller. |

| Welp, the best team definitely won! I wanted them to win, if England didn't, before the tournament, and the way they played, I haven't changed my opinion away from personal bias. Agüero should have been off (his hand definitely comes across for "afters" when he jumped with Schweinsteiger). But yay.
(I think I said in the sweepstake phase that if I won I wouldn't claim the prize - as the victor, I claim that the person who donated the prize should make use of it. THE KING HAS SPOKEN) |

| Buy a load of weird cheap tat next time they have a big clearance.
I won £9 quid from a first goal scorer sweepstakes me and my mates did on the night, pretty chuffed with that. Glad to see Germany win, very well deserved. |

| I was thinking more of a Wii game I might of missed that Jimbob is a fan off, I would pick up and give it ago.
If you are upset that the football is over here's something nice 25 days to the Championship 26 days to the SPL 33 days to the Premier League 64 days to the first champions league group game
