Balladeer’s taglines constantly remind me that England is a different country to the one I live in. ~ We need to talk about the greatest trilogy of all time: Charlie Adam's last few games for Dundee. Firstly, there was this absolutely sensational dive against St. Johnstone, which came just days after he'd strongly instructed a Hearts player to "man up" after Adam himself had (actually) fouled him: https://twitter.com/ElliotHackney/status/1517951537288470530 The following week came an incredible assist gaffe, in the fifth minute of a crucial relegation decider against St. Mirren: https://twitter.com/MartinDUFC/status/1522941744954118147 Then he followed that up two nights ago with one of the most brilliant goals I've seen in ages! https://twitter.com/Martin32064183/status/1524125453916811270 The man is pure box office, born to enterain. |

| After that dive I'm pretty sure the camera catches him saying "hows that no a foul?" |

| I love that the dive is tagged as "potentially sensitive content". Whenever Charlie Adam is brought up I can't help but think back to this expert take. Still I can't argue with his ability to entertain, good and bad. |

| It’s official: Liverpool can’t match the quadruple success of Clyde’s 1950-51 squad. https://twitter.com/ClydeFC/status/1526863445802500097 Liverpool can only dream of winning the Glasgow Charity Cup. Burnley down too. Great memories of one of the best bits of football patter, with them achieving European football for the first time in over fifty years then getting Aberdeen in their first draw. Otherwise they’re a boring Brexitty jobber team who bring nothing to the Premier League, don’t come back. |

| I worked in Burnley for a year, wouldn't recommend it, horrible lot.
More importantly, City managed to put me through all the emotions on Sunday but it was totally worth it. I had to watch the Aguero moment on TV so it's nice to have actually been there this time for a similarly crazy moment, never change Manchester City, never change. |

| It's strange how many similarities there are to it, the scoreline obviously, also 1-0 at half time, opposition both scored a similar goal with a similar celebration in the same end and City's comeback involved goals and assists from substitutes. |

What a name for a trophy. Sounds like it was something just given out for winning the other ones. |

| Now that Real Madrid have won the Champions League and now that Clyde have retained their 1950/51 Supplementary Cup, it’s all eyes on Scotland against Ukraine on Wednesday night. It’s hard to remove the emotional sentiment away from it. Under current circumstances, I honestly wouldn’t be that fussed if we lost to Ukraine. I think that’s a likely scenario. Without Kieran Tierney and Ryan Jack (and with Billy Gilmour and Nathan Paterson below fitness), it’s a weaker team – they’re four players that it’s difficult to replace. You know Ukraine will be right up for it as well, even if their preparation will have been understandably poor.
If Scotland are to win against Ukraine, I’m even less optimistic about beating Wales in Wales. That’s not because I think Wales are a great team; it’s just because they are the jammiest team to ever play international football, and because you just know that the script is written for Aaron Ramsey to get the deciding goal. Its fate. |

Away from the euros, I looked at getting a season ticket for Taunton Town but I would need to go to 20 out of 24 games to be worth it and with work couldn't see me able to do that.
Still hope to go as many games as possible, then see what Man City in the top flight. |

This I know we're roughly divided in half by Hadrian's Wall in this place, but bloody hell was this the happiest I'd been around football for a long while. There's already a mural of Leah Williamson in her home town - I can in theory walk past it if I take a 2 hour lunch break*. In contrast, I don't give a fuck about the new domestic football season as a half-arsed yoyo club. (*I can't take a 2 hour lunch break) |

| I watched the England/ Germany game with my family, including my uncle who was visiting from Australia, and we both got very angry at Harry Maguire. I won a tenner off him though. (Which I immediately gave to my sister, I think) |

| I'm excited that Taunton have got Yeovil away in the FA Cup, this was like the biggest game could have got in the fourth round qualifying.
Last game at Huish Park, I went to was a 3-0 Derby win, I don't think I'll see that this time as neither Yeovil nor Taunton can score.

| It's definitely been an exciting group stage - very chuffed for Japan, especially considering I'd thought they'd bottled it after losing to Costa Rica. |
