Pokkén Tournament DX (Beat 'Em Lillipup On Switch)

It began with this blurry image.  Some people are saying it's a fighter, others say a PBR/Stadium-style game, while others hope for an RPG.  But let's throw caution to the winds here: what sort of Pokémon game would you like to see on the Wii U?  

A full-on action RPG, where you control your Pokémon directly and battle like in Xenoblade?  A Pokémon MMORPG?  A new, pointer-controlled HD Pokémon Snap?  Or does the idea of Pokémon Channel U make you feel all tingly inside?  Discuss!

Personally, I just want the return of Miror B., with his afro rendered in glorious HD (Hair-Definition).

(Oh, and let's be clear: it doesn't have to be the game that the screenshot suggests.)

I think Pokemon fans are setting themselves up for a big disappointment with this.

I'd like to see another Colosseum game - those were underrated.

Although the image does look like a one on one fighter, I'd far rather it be something along the lines of Pokémon XD. All the trappings of an RPG but not one that would ruin the handheld games (as they seem very cautious to avoid).

Another XD (or preferably a similar RPG set in a different world) would be my choice. I really don't get the demand for a Pokémon MMO: I'd rather have a solid story.

Sounds like some sort of Pokemon/ tekken crossover. Which could be fun, especially if they include the option to upload your pokemon from x and y.
Obviously is have preferred a nice, HD Colloseum game.

And I'd love a massive, HD pokemon snap even more.

Honestly if its a fighting game that would be great news for me. For Pokemon on Wii U what would make the most sense is an RPG like Colosseum or XD.

I think it will be a fighter. In terms of what I would want, I know asking for a proper 3d pokemon game would be too much so instead, how about a game that could share connectivity with X/Y? Im not talking about Pokemon Stadium, something more fleshed out would be nice.

Orrr how about a Red/Blue game on the Wiiu to coincide with the Pokemon: Origins anime?

I personally didnt like colleseum, its not even the snagging that bothered me, it was the storyline and construct of the levels which were a little barebones. Didnt play Xd though.

Anyway, thread input. Something like the Colosseum and XD is obviously preferred but the idea of a fighter with Pokemon could be interesting, and if it were to happen surely it'd have to be a proper 1 on 1 fighter and something totally unlike Smash Bros or Pokemon Rumble which would be an interesting step for the franchise given how child friendly it's always been.

My only concern (which is admittedly based on one screen and the gist I'm getting) is that it seems like it's mostly going to feature humanoid pokemon. There are quite a few I like but there's way more options out there and I love seeing the word and wonderful in a pokemon game.

There's going to be a special announcement by the Pokemon company on Monday. Weirdly, this isn't being billed as a Nintendo Direct, so it could be anything....

If its not a Nintendo Direct its probably not gonna be a new game. Cartoon or movie announcement? Card game?

OHMYGOD ITS GONNA BE A LIVE ACTION POKEMON MOVIE WITH EFFECTS BY WETA

They have already announced the movie air date in the states, along with the first 2 eps of the X and Y anime, The Red and blue special is airing on Oct 2, The card game still exists..

And I don't think it will matter that Pokemon Smash is ending, if anything I think it could do with the new website that was coming around the times of the games

Oh my god! I did a quick googs and found today's news was. Its a competition leading up to the release of X and Y! That's even better than a new game, a new cartoon or solid details on Pokken.
