Oh woe is me, I am single, poor me. But seriously, it drives me nuts, what am I doing wrong? (Except for not going out and meeting women, but that's all their fault, damn women!)

We moan about being single, and boast of our minor accomplishments as though we were Joey Tribbiani.

My cousin managed to get his last two girlfriends without having to leave the house so clearly that's not the issue here.

Hit rock bottom. Woke up Sunday morning with a girl in my bed. I still do not know her name.

Didn't she say anything when she woke up, or was it just Hi Bye and that it.

We spoke a bit, but it was super awkward. She was a fair bit younger than me and I was horribly hung over trying to get a nap in before my nine hours shift started at one. I don't think she even told me her name the night before.

Just read through this whole thread to reminisce. I'm so glad I have you guys. It amuses me no end that you all seem to have this idea that I'm some sort of womanizing player (though I didn't take kindly to Balla calling me a slut on Skype!). I'm pulling maybe once a month at best and its never the lassies I want.

Speaking of lassies I want; I'm still absolutely smitten with the same girl from work. We're pretty close at this point, she's easily my best friend at work, and we talk and flirt a lot. And despite telling myself I was done with the lovesick schoolboy thing, I can't stop thinking about her. 
So tonight, were going to a do for a lady who used to work with us' birthday and I was essentially invited purely to accompany this girl. So obviously everyone else realises we're pretty close. But I'm still way too unsure to actually say anything outright because I would hate it if I lost our friendship. So I guess I'll just let Drunkalilly do his thing and see if anything happens. And in the meantime, continue pining after her in my classic manner!

Unfair!  I'd never call anyone that word.  You called somebody else a slut, and I said "That coming from you!"  You have more casual sex than most people I know, that's all, so it seemed odd for you to criticise someone else for it.

I think I've become a bit more romantically cynical recently.  Two girls I've semi-got my eye on, but there's a little voice in the back of my head pointing out the problems with each of them.  All of which is conducted as if they'd necessarily reciprocate anyway...

You do remember I called him a slut for going on multiple gaming websites at once and was obviously joking, whereas you were genuinely calling me out? I honestly don't sleep around that much, but personally I dislike any sort of scorn being placed on someone for their decision to have consensual sex. At least you were calling me a slut, rather than a female. I absolutely hate people who will call out a woman for "sleeping around" but won't say anything to a man doing the exact same thing.

I know what you mean about the cynicism. I judge everyone I meet way too quickly, normally on the stupidest things.

I'd forgotten the circumstances of the discussion.  Anyway, I was trying to joke myself, Drunka; I didn't mean it as anything mean or critical.  Sorry.
