| Yesterday I bought 2 Japanese Wii games - Earthseeker (A Monster Hunter clone of sorts) for $15Au and a FullMetal Alchemist game (Japanese name I don't what it means) for $16Au.
After playing Captain Rainbow, I thought it was time to try some more Japanese games that will both confuse and delight. |

| Game of Thrones Season 1 The Lord Of The Rings Extended Editions Some purple jeans from H&M A superdry t shirt with an eagle on it A jumper for my missus An iPhone 5 for my missus
Game of Thrones I've yet to watch any of this show, but I love the books to bits and everyone says it's great, so I've been meaning to get out for years. Even if it does fail to live up to my unreasonably high expectations,I don't care because it came with a map of Westeros which I've put up in my kitchen and the box set looks lovely on the shelf with my ASOIAF books and my for Tolkien films.
The Lord of the Rings Obviously something everyone should own, especially since I bought the Hobbit on day one, but since my dad owned it, and then when I left home my girlfriend's brother owned it, it wasn't until we moved in together we needed to buy or own copy. |

| Good haul from the last week. Shinobi: £4.99 in GAME Steel Diver, Last Window, Metroid Prime Hunters and Pokémon Link: BOGOF at GAME.co.uk, £10.43 with discounts Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D: £26.86 from ShopTo Mario Strikers Charged Football: £3 in Salvation Army Nintendo Touch Golf Birdie Challenge: £2.45 on Amazon Warehouse Deals Wave Race 64 (JAP version, sadly doesn't work with my N64 Passport): £3.99 from Genki Video Games Random Nintendo-Published GBA Game Which I Can't Remember The Name Of: £7.99 from Genki Video Games Chibi Robo Park Patrol: £14ish from Amazon seller. All the pre-owned games looked new and came with their Stars Catalogue codes intact. Chibi Robo was sealed - particularly chuffed with that as I've been wanting that for years. |

| It was in a charity shop. I know somebody likely would have bought it anyway, but I've got no reservations about buying games in charity shops. |

| Shame there won't be an online community when you play it again Phillips, that was the best part in my eyes. |

| Worth another shot. I played it online last time I had it, and while I'd agree that it was the best part, it could still be a good laugh with mates. Harmless enough for £3, particularly considering the mint condition it was in. |

| Today's haul: I thought I did all right, considering I had only intended on going to the bank. Blur was cheapest at just £1.49 in Cash Convertors, the DS/3DS games were £2.98 each in HMV's sale (Shifting World is brand new, Starfox is sealed). Mario Party 9 for a tenner in Blockbuster has got to be decent, am I right? |

| Blur and Star Fox are fantastic so that's some awesome bargains. I like Mario Party 9 myself so a tenner is worth every penny. |

Also Phillips your location just cracked me up. Yemen is clearly the place to be for bargains. |

| The Long Earth, by Stephen Baxter and Terry Pratchett, and another book called Teach Yourself Danish. Yes. We've been watching too much Danish TV at home of late and now have mad plans to go to Copenhagen on holiday.
Did you know, there's no GCSE for any Scandinavian language? |

| My latest import haul. The two Japanese games will be both interesting and confusing. Also, I am now committed to buying a PSVita, as now I have a game. I have a track record with this consumer behaviour, as I had 4 PS3 games long before I owned a PS3. At $5, even though I didn't particulalry enjoy Uncharted on the PS3, is worth a shot. The Super Mario 3D Land was on clearance, down for $60 to $20 - a massive bargain, as you hardly ever see proper Mario games on clearance. I had to have it! |
