| And yet, you both clicked the spoiler. I knew you videogame playing teenagers were nothing but weird little virgin perverts. If you spend my tax money on Nintendo Playboxes and filthy porno mags, you should be neutered and have your benefits cut. You'd soon get a job then, when you're a eunuch peasant. |

Certainly and it's something I doubt I'll ever try as you can't see it at any gaming events and it certainly won't be sanctioned on PSVR (unless then can put on a disc, which I wouldn't buy). But almost like Zero, VR is for porn

| 5 years down the line, when VR is considerably cheaper and more widespread, it might be something I try just for curiosity's sake. |

| I don't know if I'm that bothered if it's cheap. And I don't even think it's for the porns either. As you've all said... what, are you just standing in the room with them? Or is it a weird first person thing? If you can guarantee you'll be happy watching that with headphones on, in the knowledge that it's that much harder to tell if someone else is approaching... |

| After the initial revulsion at seeing my spawn's todger, the urge to wind him up would be overwhelming. I'd just subtly rearrange his room, so he knew I'd been in there but could never bring it up... |

| Well it seems Apple are entering the VR market as well according to rumors that they've poached key people from companies to work on there VR project which if there only just working on could be quite far behind the others by the time it comes out but with that brand and marketing behind it, who knows also that puts
Apple Facebook HTC / Valve Sony
Some big companies all with whats going to be a high end VR experience. |

| Triple Post
We got the big news and the Czechs were right the PSVR will be £349.99 and will come out worldwide October the only bit of news is there's a VR Star Wars Battlefront experience coming.
The price is fantastic as it means that you can get a PS4 and PSVR for the similar price of just a rift.
I'm sold and will be putting my preorder in. |

| Have you tried VR though and I don't mean the Gear, I mean one of the big three.
As most of nay sayers haven't actually used a VR Headset, which is the biggest issue for any of the VR device's getting it on people's heads to try.
I can day it's great, so can Drunka or Muss but we could say that about anything and this isn't like a £50 game where you could get without trying and just our word.
As I get £350+ as you need the camera and your going to buy at least one game. |

| I like VR but £350 for a peripheral that needs a move and which costs over a hundred pounds more than its console is not a good deal. |

| Move compatible but apparently on the show floor of GDC all the demo's are using the Dual Shock 4.
I watched the trailer for Tumble and there using the Dual Shock 4 but looks like it would be better with a move to play.
But you need the camera which you can get for like £30.
It's how you look at it, as like VR and this is the most viable option for me and most people as even the Gear might be £99 but you need a Samsung Galaxy whatever which going to set you back a few quids also what's the software like on it.
That's the thing if your looking it as peripheral for your PS4 then it is expensive but if you look at VR as platform then it's not. |

| It's not exactly something I can just go out and try though, plus that's an insane amount of money when you consider how long Sony tend to support anything that isn't a numbered playstation... Regardless I don't need to try it to say the concept doesn't interest me. I'm quite happy with my games sitting on a screen, using a proper control. I don't want to put on a stupid helmet to be inside the game. |

| £350 is a lot of money in my book and I don't have the PS4 to begin with. I will continue to watch the progress of VR with a detached interest. |

| I reckon if Sony have any sense they will demo the PSVR in GAME for instance, that can get on peoples heads. I don't see the controls as a issue Andy as you use the Dual Shock 4 with PSVR, a Xbox One controller with Rift, Steam controller (well that might be a issue lol) with Vive etc the headset wearing yeah I get it and there will be people that don't like it and can't use even.
But I do believe VR is here and if likes of Apple and even Nintendo as rumored jump on board with VR, then it could be big.
@Zero your right but do you have any of the hardware a VR headset, I doubt there's people sat at home going to buy a PS4 & PSVR as it's the cheapest option all in and they want a decent VR experience as that's now £650+ which is a hell of a lot of a money to get a VR for yourself as the other option is a Galaxy S6 & Gear which costs £480 for a low end VR that any of these VR experiences are going to cost a hell of lot of money unless you got hardware to run the headset.
The reason I'm going for the PSVR as it's the most viable option for me as I don't have a Galaxy Phone and only recently got a new phone and the stuff I've tried on it, is more experiences then games. If I could afford it I would be all over the Vive as it's by far the best but it's $800 + about $1200 for a rig to run it that I've not got $2000 (I don't know how much the Vive is in pounds of the top of my head) and if I did it wouldn't be going on VR and a PC but £350 I can easily save and I've got a PS4 and there's something interesting games coming as well.
This could all change though as Nintendo could be working on VR and it may work with the NX and that might be the most viable option, as that might be £600 for both and I'm likely to buy a VR headset and the NX this year anyway, so why not NXVR instead of PSVR.
I'm going to make a PSVR thread, in Nontendo with the games coming etc for anyone that is interested to talk about that more directly then just VR in general and any news happening with the medium. |

| I am hyped for PSVR. £350 is way cheaper than the competitors, especially as I already own a PS4, PS4 camera and two move controllers (I bought them the other week for a tenner each from cex!).
PSVR is definitely looking like the best jumping on point for VR in the first wave of machines, and with 50 games in development £350 seems fair enough to me for the long dreamed of virtual reality. |

| I've made thread now OR, that we get hyped together but from what I seen to find out a price for down under is the PSVR is already sold out at EB Games at launch and Amazon UK are putting up preorders up at 11 this morning and are expected to sell out right away.
I'm going to get a camera soon as I can but moves I'm in no panic as all games use the DS4 and I just read a article of someone that spent 4 hrs playing PSVR and says games great etc but the Move's motion controls is letting some games down as it wasn't built for PSVR unlike the others, where the motion controls were built from the ground up. That I may wait and see if there's a Move 2.0 or that glove patent is real unless I see some moves cheap.
And that's not 50 games in development that's 50 games in 2016's launch window which I got a feeling there counting likes of London Heist as a game even though it's now in a completion VR Worlds but still it's going to be awful lot. |
