We are having a particularly hot and long summer in the south this year Balladeer. Unlike the north getting flood after flood. I have it better in my region, but even then, days of 30 are wearing thin with me and the forecast is for that the next seven days, as it has been for about the last ten. At least I don't get to 45C days, although we did hit 35C one day last week.

I need to get outside naked and do a rain dance :affraid:

Yeah, South Australia to be exact. Cold snaps sound great compared to the last week, the average has been over 30 for the last four days and today was 35. Summer seemed to have been going easy on my small patch of Australia this year, but it seems like it wants to leave a parting impression. Tomorrow is going to be 39 though, and I ain't looking forward to it.

Ah well, things will be getting much cooler as of Wednesday, so not long until I can stop feeling like death warmed up.

Ah so your in one of the hottest states.
Like I said before down in my end of Tas all we had were fires after fires and even a couple up north. Even had one as recent as Wednesday just gone in a place called Risdon vale which effected me up in Orford.

But yeah I hate summer for the heat I'd much rather the cold

We have been lucky in my patch, not a fire nearby at all. Previous years we have had to consider an evacuation plan as our mountain was ablaze. So in a way, it has been a good year.

Whilst I'd obviously rather avoid fires, I do miss heat. It's bloody cold in Edinburgh right now. Here's the view from my flat.

I would post a pic of the view from my place but it's kinda night time.
Another reason I hate the heat is when it gets way to muggy to sleep

There seems to be a nice cafe just opposite you, I'm sure they have bread and milk and maybe even some sort of seating arrangement.

It's a posh French café, although they do lovely mussels there if you're into seafood.

Bah it's 32 today and I have to go out in that damn heat within the next couple of hours

It's meant to feel like -6ºC with windchill.

It is pretty bitter out there, I'm happy to report.

It's chankin' here on the south-west coast of Scotland. Going up to the north-east coast later.

It got up to 36 today and at 8:51pm it's still fricken 30

The snow has caused my only exam to be cancelled, so I now have the week off...

Whoooo SNOW WEEK!

Blegh, it was 40 degrees today, and that was after not being able to cool the house down properly after 38 degrees yesterday. Thankfully blessed coolness will be here by the morning as the cool change will be here. 23 maximum, hooray.

This is why I hate summer.



Also, I would like to say I actually don't envy the snow surprisingly. It seems like it would simply be trading one extreme for another to me.

All I've done with my day is play Football manager

Going up to Loughborough tomorrow though to view the uni, as it's one of my choices.

Get to go and feel awkward soon as I go for my CT scan on my foot. The awkwardness of it will be that I will probably will be the only guy under the age of 70 there
