Keen for this. I'll echo what was said earlier in hoping for some single player content chat as after the burn of Street Fighter V I need to be reassured that I'll have some modes to play when none of you are about.

Pokémon Direct tomorrow!
What are we thinking? Pokémon on Switch must be the main attraction, surely?

I'm expecting another mobile announcement, actually. Although, we just got that Magikarp game...

Has to be Stars surely? If that happens and MonHan added 2 Billion to Nintendo's stock, what will Pokemon do.

Once again, I am bewildered as to why they wouldn't save this for E3. Surely, surely that makes more sense? Hashtag Nintendo logic.
Anyway everyone will be really disappointed if they don't see Pokémon Red Giant/Blue Dwarf, so I'll plump for Poképark 3.

It is Nintendo logic - get people talking about them before E3, and hype their own E3 further. On my birthday too!

You don't the Pokemon Company are in the mindset of Rockstar, Blizzard that they can do what they want when they want.
Meaning they don't even need to show up to E3 but have something around that time.

I'm keen for Pokken, as long as it supports the USB controller they did for Wii U. Need dat d-pad! Ultra S&M isn't that exciting to me, but I might give it a go eventually. I am interested in playing Gold and Silver again; here's hoping they put it on Switch VC whenever that gets announced.

The D-Pad on Pro is pretty decent and I think the game is compatible with the hori fight stick (I think it's the Hori one).

The most interesting part of that Direct was the Gold & Silver VC announcement for this guy. I'm sure the other games will sell well but they're not for me. I reckon, at this stage.

Nothing there's definitely for me. I couldn't give less of a toss over GSCVC, and I won't get out my 3DS again to play something that should never have been on the machine anyway. Pokken gets a maybe, but it's bloody cheeky of them. The original came out, what, two years ago? Less? And I didn't buy it then. Still, Decidueye.
Ultra SMoon? Chuff off.

Ach, my expectations were somewhat lowered by the fact that E3 is literally a week away for Nintendo.
I'm most keen for Silver on Virtual Console, in all honesty!

It's pretty much what I expected, 100% knew we'd get Gold and Silver on Virtual Console which I'm happy with and as new as Pokken still is I've not really given it the time it deserves so this will be a good excuse to properly get in to it this time. Can't complain with the Ultras either, Sun and Moon is definitely my favourite 3DS game so if they can do with that what they did with Black and White 2 I'll be very happy. There's no chance they're gonna pull the trigger on the main series getting a Switch release just yet, there's still plenty of money to be made in the 3DS.

I'm not going to from an opinion on Ultra Sun and Moon just yet, although I'm definitely getting Pokémon Silver on the vc. It was my first ever Pokémon game and one of my first ever games, so I'm pretty excited for it. As far as Pokken is concerned I wasn't interested in the WiiU game and that same ambivalence has been successfully ported to the switch.

There must be a few bits and pieces but I haven't been keeping track, so I'll defer to someone more knowledgeable about the whole Spla2n thing for answers on that one. I have come in here to make a point, though: Directs on the 6th in two consecutive months! If there's one scheduled for 6th August, I think a pattern might emerge...

There's plenty; that haven't really shown the online service which is supposedly launching with the game. Spla2n is all about the multiplayer game! Hopefully we'll finally find out a little more about what Nintendo actually have planned.
If not, I'm keen to see lots of modes and weapons and systems that make up the game I'll actually be playing later in the month.

Honestly felt like they had shown everything at E3 as they detailed some changes to the MP ranked modes, showed off the salmon rush mode & the single player but I'm up for being surprised.

As Duck mentioned in the thread, there's a chance this is about launching another Testfire. With that, some online details, and an explanation of why Amiibo are worth using, this could prove to be a worthy Direct.

A New Nindies Showcase is due on 30th August - a mere two days away. Seeing as the eShop was such a big part of the Wii U experience, I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone has up their sleeves. 6pm UK time means I might even be able to watch it live!

And my God was the presenter utterly terrible. His voice grated so much. I found it instantly more interesting when I turned it on mute. His worst bit was before Floor Kids, which, coincidentally, I also thought was the worst looking game shown. So there you go.
The games were... a'right. SWD2 got a release date, there was a cute elephant in a game that looked terrible, and I might actually be able to get behind Mom Hid My Game; but as with the last indie sizzle reel thing, I thought it was pretty meh... apart from that conclusion.
