| To be fair, it wasn't even a developer in all likelihood - just whoever runs the Switch news section. |

As it's just something that doesn't happen often on PS4 which does go back to what you were first saying we Early Acces games happen on Switch.
Fairly sure Ark was early access for a bit on PS4 too as well. Anyway why did i bring up early access again? Ah yes, would Nintendo allow early access? Maybe if they want to follow the money but I wouldn't feel it meets the "seal or quality" in its current state. |

| I don't know if Nintendo has a seal of quality with some of the stuff getting on the eShop. |

| They just allowed a bingo game on the eShop this week, of course the seal exists. |

Ahh I actually don't mind the term Metroidvania tbh but that Switch news section person is still wrong. |

| The Nintendo Seal of Quality department is now an actual Seal, wetly slapping his flipper on the keyboard. |

| I hated that seal, the few times I bought NOM. Seals should be cute and cuddly. Also I didn't like his sense of humour back when I was eight or whatever. |

| I don't remember it a whole lot but it was at least something fun/different to the very by the numbers approach of the rest of the magazine. |

| I feel like I'm the only person who really enjoyed NOM's humour back in the day. (Lots of it is very problematic, rereading it now though). |

| So that indie showcase was short but sweet, the games I like the look of the most were Bomb Chicken & The Messenger - Pool panic looks odd but still good & my ears perked up when I heard the words "Rhythm bulllet hell" for Just shapes & beats. |

| Erm. It was too short for one thing, it felt more like a 'Nindie Showcase Mini'. Ten games, I think. I saw a fair few that could be interesting, but none that jumped out and grabbed me. I didn't think there were any big names either, but I had at least heard of Banner Sage... Anyway, bit disappointing, but the big news is that we're getting Lumines with the original fella (Mizuguchi?) at the wheel. Why is that the big news, you ask? Because it opens up the possibility of Meteos on Switch! - ZeroJones wrote:

| Seen a fair few folk on twitter raving about Mark of the Ninja so maybe that could be considered a big game? Also great to Devolver digital getting more involved on the platform. |

| It might just be where I am with gaming at the moment, but none of those games jumped out at me as being must-haves. They might be after a bit more research - that Lumines had a pleasing vibe, for example - but no surefire certainty in the bunch. For me. |

| I'd agree with you Zero, but then Celeste didn't jump out at me early days. I'm willing to give some of them chances, especially Lightfall and the one where it's rhythm bullet hell but you're a pirate ship. - The_Jaster wrote:

Perhaps. That and Lumines and Banner Saga, and then that Lightfall game too... I dunno, I guess I hoped for Hyper Light Drifter or Hotline Miami or something like that, perhaps that was unrealistic? Especially so soon after the Direct. EIDT: AAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHA! Brilliant news! Now why wasn’t this in the showcase? |

| Maybe they wanted to give some of the games that might go under the radar some centre stage time, without the bigger indies to overshadow them? I'd have preferred HLD (and Nidhogg II) in there with the others in the showcase, but maybe Ms. Rhythm Pirate Ship Developer wouldn't. |

| Oh when they don't have to dance around the gore nature of that Garage game it actually looks good, like a mash up of Hotline Miami & The Running man.

| There go all my jokes about the game's title missing a 'b'. (disconsolately kicks floor)
EDIT: The trailer's interesting, the premise feels like a kid trying to be mature. Incidentally (callback time!) that's the opposite of what I didn't like about the old NOM writing, it felt like it was a bit too 'how do you do, fellow kids'. |

| I loved that. Reigns and Banner Saga are games I dabbled with but never got very far with (I broke my old phone and I don't like playing in PC) so I'll be all over them. Other stuff looked cool enough, might take a plunge if people on here or twitter start raving. Throw in Hyper Light Drifter as well and the Switch indie love-in doesn't seem like it'll be slowing down at all. - Balladeer wrote:

The first thing I thought when I saw Lumines was that maybe balla will finally get his new Scrubadub. |
