| To be fair I was more on about quantity, wasn't saying the first group didn't have its duds either. Although I wouldn't honestly say Makoto was one of the duds, he was plain to be sure, but I feel they got the right balance with his character so that the player could experience the game through his eyes, while at the same time not being devoid of a personality himself. Anyhow, just played through the entire first chapter trial and, well, it was certainly unexpected. Once again the game excells at making me feel horrible for a character I didn't even like. And how about that Ultimate Lucky Student eh? - Spoilerific musings:
Calling it now, Nagito is the traitor. Even if he isn't though, he's got Despair Syndrome really bad, he's almost crazier than Junko. :affraid:
Something did feel a little off about him, but I was surprised that all was revealed as regards to his personality and ambition so early, I thought he was going to be like Kyouko in the first game and it would take its sweet time revealing what lies within his laid back facade. And I didn't think he'd be completely nutso either. Strangely enough though seeing his true colours makes me all the more curious as to his backstory.
Meanwhile I really didn't expect to feel sorry for Teruteru, perverted slimeball that he was. And while I do believe he got his just deserts because as pointed out, he wouldn't have gone through with the killing if he didn't feel offing the entire group was worth it after all, but couldn't help feel really sorry for him all the same.

Completely disagree with the bolded part, I'm afraid! |

| Was in an actuarial tutorial on Tuesday, and the lady giving it started talking about a type of formula she calls "the daddy". (Featuring such great lines as "you do not violate the daddy".) What picture did she use to illustrate this? One I've only ever seen in NGamer before now. Crikey. |

| Random thought: I love games that don't go all crazy with their UI's or HUD's in fact the simpler the better

| Ooh, I definitely agree with that. I feel like a lot can be shown in - game with modern graphics, but too much bollocks on the screen can really pull me out of the atmosphere. Assassins Creed can be especially bad for it. |

| That's why I like the GamePad: all the UI can go on there and leave the big screen free to properly show many lovely graphics. Also, I don't tend to play games while hungover - much prefer to go out and walk it off or get something to eat - but if I ever did, Drunka's list will be a great point of reference. |

| The reason I brought this up is Metro 2033 done this is a way I really love where the character has to physically bring up an item (clipboard with a compass) to see your objectives & if you are headed in the right direction or hold the L1 button to use equipment, when you're not doing this it's just your weapon and the world to look at. On the opposite end of UI's/HUD's I played a bit of the Evolve beta on Sunday night and was left confused at times by all sorts of things popping up on screen maybe I'll adjust to it with more play time but I'd honestly prefer it if they just simplified some things.
---
Oh nice top 5 article by the way even though I don't usually play games if hungover (as I sleep it off) I imagine games that don't take too much effort or concentration are the best to go for. |

| I've got a rather rambling random gaming thought story for y'all. Contains spoilers for the Playable Teaser.Last night, for some unknown stupid reason, while I was lying in bed, I thought I'd look into some things concerning PT - in particular, some bits and pieces about Lisa. - Yes, this Lisa:
It's dark, and I'm easily spooked, and Lisa's backstory is horrible. Needless to say, I finish my research and lie awake for a long time, shivering occasionally, and thinking what a moron I was to look these things up in the dark before sleep. Fifteen minutes later, I'm still not having much fun, so I try to make the whole damn thing less scary in my head. And what's one of the most reassuringly solid, non-frightening, things in gaming? - Spoiler:
So I'm lying there, in bed, thinking of Shulk laying into this ghost with his Monado; and somehow it ends up with Reyn taking the screaming foetus for a walk, on a leash, while it wails at the petrified dogs of passers-by. Here endeth the lesson. The lesson being, "Don't look up spooky stuff before bedtime, you cretin. " |

| PT is genuinely chilling though, so I don't blame you . It's refreshing in this age of schlocky cheap horror games. |

| Myself and a few of my friends were screaming like children whilst playing PT although the scariness soon faded when we spent the next 3 hours trying to complete it, I've no idea how the first person to complete it figured things out.
In random news of my own, I think I've grown tired of LittleBig Planet, it doesn't feel like the formula has aged all that well. |

| Simple de-frightener - just add Reyn. For example, imagine a creepy Reyn figurine like the ones made from the Elegy of Emptiness, and I come up with a bobble-head doll. |

In retrospect, that creepypasta was so clever. Using a romhack was an inspired choice. |

I haven't played LBP since the original was new. I enjoyed it very much, but even then I couldn't look past how floaty Sackboy's physics were. Has this remained a constant throughout the series? |

| Some News and Thoughts about it but it's more thoughts they news. Microsoft ( ) just had there Windows 10 event blahh blahh blahh, All Windows 10 devices will support remote play with Xbox One as long as it's all connected to a Wi Fi network. This like Sony's remote play sounds good on paper as I've played resogun for instance on my vita (before it was vita) or having a PSTV in another room but the problem I've got with it is you have to have the PS4 or ONE turn on, so if you do go somewhere and remote play you have to have the system on at home (that stand by but still connected to the internet at least) and you can only play the disc which is in the console or what ever you've got downloaded. On VITA this kinda works as it has buttons like a DS4 but on a phone you don't have buttons so you have to carry around a controller which seems daft, so the remote play is only usable at home (Yes I know it comes in handy if you aren't so lonely) and talking about daft it was shown running on a PC which is of course will have windows 10. Only see that being useful is if you've have someone else with you who wants to watch the TV but that's it. So the thought is is remote play a bit muh at the moment but I know Sony want to make it that you can access PSNOW on everything and as that's streamed base you wouldn't need a PS4 just a PSN account and that's, then you could play anywhere but you still need to take a controller with you. |

I haven't played LBP since the original was new. I enjoyed it very much, but even then I couldn't look past how floaty Sackboy's physics were. Has this remained a constant throughout the series? It has remained floaty but all the new items help compensate for it and makes for much more fluid platforming, they've even included new characters in the latest one that can run fast, fly, etc so the platforming has definitely improved in that respect. I think it's perhaps the style of it that's put me off, it hasn't really changed it's aesthetics so it doesn't really feel new and I've done enough level creating in the past to want to make anymore so the game is limited for me, may give it another try. |

| Don't you just love the feeling when a game takes your heart out in front of you and proceeds to stomp it so hard that there's nothing left? - Major dangan ronpa 2 spoilers:
Obviously I'm talking about chiaki. That moment when ones belief she'll be spared Makoto style is crushed by a tetris block. And while I'm at it poor Monomi!
And I've still got one chapter left to go! Although I suspect that'll be an onslaught of mind effs more than emotional assaults. |
